Ok how do I stop my clutch nut from coming loose without applying thread lock? SHould I lock the piston and try to tighten it that way?

ALSO!! What is the correct way to actually tighten this? I was thinking of buying a piston locking tool? Is this ok? Will it damage the piston head?

Never used a piston locking tool, but from what i've heard, they don't ruin the piston...at all.

I think you're best be is to get a piston locking tool, and tighten the clutch nut down as hard as you can...

ok then that's settled I will shell out the ten bucks for it tomorrow!
THanks Kwong

Always sucks to have a loose nut.. In any case, are you referring to the nut that tightens the flywheel to the brass collar? I just use like a socket and my channel locks to grab the flywheel. Hasn't come off on me.

yes but this tends to eat up the teeth on the flywheel. I have tried it as well and only because I had a pull start. Now mine is a bump start. THanks Mugen-racer

hmmmm, never had my channel locks slip on me. I, too, have a bump start on my on-road as well. Guess you can break down and go with the piston lock tool. Good luck.

I am going to do it only cuz it's a good tool to have anyways!!

too messy and hard to undo after but still a good idea for

Ok I got the piston locking tool now it doesn't start up...this problem is on a different thread!!
