Hey everyone! I have 3 ARRMA vehicles with ESC rx combos. I also have multiple Traxxas vehicles. My question is can I get a new transmitter that stores up to 20 vehicles and replace the rx in the ones that have the 2 in 1 combo without replacing the ESC’s? I have so many transmitters for each vehicle and I was looking into just having 1 for all my vehicles. Or do I have to get a new ESC for each ARRMA AND replace the rx as well?

You can bind a spektrum radio to a spektrum receiver, ie if you have a Grom with a 2in1 spektrum esc, it will take a new spektrum radio.

Traxxas or other brands will need a new Rx, and if it's not a Spektrum 2in1, you'd need to replace the esc as well to work with a spektrum radio, axial scx24 etc

Something like a DX6C would work well if the plan is to keep/move everything to spektrum.. and it's on sale atm for $120. Has a 20 model memory. https://www.spektrumrc.com/product/dx6c-6-channel-dsmr-transmitter-only/SPMR6125.html

I forgot to mention my Traxxas are nitro and old. I only have 1 new 3s Slash with the new transmitter. I think I know where this is going. I get new rx for my Traxxas that binds with the new transmitter and just bind 1 spectrum to the 3 ARRMA if I don’t want to buy a new spectrum transmitter?

For the Arrma cars, you can stick with the spektrum eco system and not have to upgrade escs. The higher end spektrum radios can now do SLT so you don't have to replace the 2in1 esc. https://www.rctalk.com/forum/threads/new-dual-protocol-spektrum-dsmr-and-slt-radios.145226/

For the Traxxas cars you can either stick with the Traxxas ecosystem and get the TQi and BT module, or upgrade with spektrum receivers to use if you decide to go with spektrum above.

Or you can do fully aftermarket. Good budget radios are flysky GT3 and GT5. My top picks are radiomaster mt12 or flysky nb4+.

The radiomaster with the 4in1 module from what I know has multi protocol and can hook up to spektrum dsmr and SLT (last I heard is that they are improving bugs) and I believe it can do Traxxas too but not sure if that is TQ or TQi. Also it does have elrs so you know it will be a super reliable radio for signal and range.
I am super huge on signal and range bc I used to have radiolink radios which determined faulty and bricked from the factory which caused me to lose control of several of my cars. (Don't make the same mistake me and @CJ RC did with buying off brand china electronics.)

Flysky NB4. Have one myself and really great radio for the price. Feels nice. 25 model memory, super easy to navigate and receivers are the least expensive for the kind in the market. If on a budget the NB4 can be found on AliExpress for around 190, if not it's usually seen for around 300 bucks.
