Hi new and old members I am new here and this is my first post. I was wanted to buy my first truggy and I wanted to get a kit where I can see how the truck is put together and how the different parts work together. Last but most important I want a truck that is durable and can handle like no other. I have heard great things about the MBX5T and the Eight T even though it is just being released so which would be the best choice of the two. I know about the Kyosho Inferno and the Jammin CRT but I want information and knowledge only on these two. All help will be very much appreciated.

MUGEN MBX5T hands down.
I, like you, have been racking my brains about which is better. I got some help from the wise folks here and I am headed the Mugen direction.

Others can elaborate more....but quaility and workmanship are the two biggest factors for me. I like the Losi attitude and they produce a great product.....but at $649 to get started you are already in deeper than the Mugen at $589 for the prospec kit...add in the other stuff you need and we are talking serious cash.

So I want to buy it once........and the Mugen is proven and readily avalable . The Eight needs to get on the track and show itself......it may be the end of the season before folks have it dialed in....

Anyway my two cents is BUY THE MOOOOOGEN!!!!

definitly mbx5t. if i get a truggy which i am seriously considering doing this is the one id chose. mainly for the fact that talon pointed out this is a proven truck right out of the box you can go and if you have the skills run with the best of em. plus the mbx5t has been out longer and itll be easier to get ahold of replacment parts and/or hop-ups. if u wanna c a review of the mbx5t pick up the latest radio control car action.

you can get the eight t at ultimate hobbies for $569 and killerhobbies is going to see it for $550 and both of those are great online stores.

I would go with the mbx5t because it has been proven on the track. And not by the pros, by the other people, us. I personaly bought the mbx5t prospec and love it. I am a losi person but wanted to wait and see what other people had to say about it. Most pros can drive anything. There were 2 guys at the local track with the 8ight buggy and had a lot of problems find a consistant set-up. I am worried that the 8ight-t will be the same. Just my opinion though.

Travis, very well put! I just got to see some of the first 8T's in action. I'm hardly impressed. The 8ight buggy is very popular around here but it really hasn't run outdoors yet to prove anything with the local group of racers.

Kyosho hands down as far my opinion. I love my ST-R i will not jump ship for anything i have NO durability issues. I think it is all personal preference and availability on what is easier to get parts for in your area. The Losi in my opinion is just the new hype i have not seen anything in the buggy that is overwhelming for me to run out and get it. I myself will stick with Kyosho so much i just picked up the 777WC buggy.

I'll be going with the MBX5T also. I'm a little bias though becuase I have the MBX5R and many of the parts are interchangeable.

I would say that anyone writing of the 8ight-T because they don't like the 8ight-B could not be more wrong. It is an entirely different beast. It is allot more forgiving than the B, and the throttle servo issue is resolved. You do have to take extra precautions when setting it up but it can be resolved with some care.

Can't say anything bad or good about the Mugen as I've never even seen one.

I would lean to the Mugen. If I were to building a new one from a kit, I would take a third in the new X-Ray XT-8.

The truggy are very close in performance, though outside of being driven by the pro's I've yet to see an 8ight-T run so outstandingly great that I would say it's a better truggy. Having driven both, my choice is still Mugen. The mugen buggy handles the rough better as well, though indoors the 8ight B has an advantage. And with the Lucy, you need an engineering degree to setup the throttle servo! LOL

because the 8ight t is much better all around vehicle also it handles like a dream believe me i have a 8ight t and a 8ight b also with the 8ught t if in the future you will want to get a buggy you would get a 8ight b because some or most of the parts are interchangable also use teh same bump box.

Have you driven or owned both? Your comment is rather one sided relating to what you have. Saying it's better all around is not true, each has advantages and disadvantages.

If your going to make stupid posts like this don't even bother posting.

Its the best because I have one bs is not worth reading.

If your going to make statements like this put some substance behind it and say why its better. Your spamming is getting old.
