Hey guys, new here. Got an mt10, thing has been amazing but went through a puddle today after my son drove his car flat out into my leg n I lost concentration and went through a puddle, not submerged but was about 100mm deep. Drove through ok but hows playing up. The esc flashes a red light, has steering but no forward or reverse. Turn everything off, turn it back on green light on esc and makes a click, has drive but not full speed n then looses drive again. Any help?? Did I cook the esc? Tried a recalibration but nothing changed
Any help appreciated

Cool beans. I was sleepin'. What did you figure out?

And welcome to RCT!

Welcome to RCTALK.COM!!!
We are so good here that sometimes we diagnose telepathically!!! 😎🙄😂

Was it just wet or did something else get you?
Well it was damp but for some reason I only got like 10 mins run time out of the battery(usually get over 20 easy so that’s what stumped me lol 🤦🏼‍♂️🤣) . It was charged before I left but put my other battery in it after cleaning n letting dry n all was good. Trickle charged the other battery last night n will give it a go again today. Maybe the battery is no good 🤷🏼‍♂️

Yeah it’s been 24hrs and the charger said it was charged but who knows the bit of water may have done something too. Maybe rookie error haha.
Will see today, about to take them for a run at the skate park

I imagine the trickle charging is getting a bit tiring to wait for?
The Hota S6 is a forum favorite. 😉👍
What battery pack are you using now?

I think you meant D6 Pro. But the S6 is a good one too.

Yeah it does but I can up the amps to 3 to make it charge quick also, it’s adjustable smart charger
Running a 11.1 3300 yuntong and it’s working awesome. Only think is upgraded the steering servo n now the stock steering arm isn’t handling it. I ordered ally fastrax full steering upgrade kit too so waiting for that to arrive. The new servo is too good for the plastic arm haha
Also I keep loosing the front sway bar links. Doing my head in.. any tips to stop them popping off ?

Your servo is likely causing your problems.
Factory electronics can't handle big current draw servos.

Also, have you set your steering endpoints on your radio?
Overdriving your servo is bad. That will cause a big draw from your servo thru your rx and to the esc's bec circuit.
You can 'brown out' the esc and the whole system ' sort of fails '
Sound familiar?
Fix the linkage binding issues, then set your radio end points abd see how your ride is. 👍😉

Yes did end points straight away cause noticed it hit the first time I activated it but cheers for the reply

Is there any chance youve got wrong size ball ends or hardware? Any broken parts?
next thing i'd do would be to compress the suspension ti see if there are any obvious hitting, binding, hyperextension, broken or worn parts.
I did notice some rub marks in the cv’s but when I compressed it I couldn’t get it to touch 🤷🏼‍♂️ ill have a bit of a better look today
No broken parts from what I can see

The other one I have is a 5000
The other battery was just what was in stock. I didn’t know much about it then
Do you have a low voltage alarm that you can plug in just to be sure your battery voltage isn't sagging?
I'm not a lipo guru either. 😉👍
