MY friend has a Nitro MT with a 2 spped on it. It just seems like this would cause alot fo problems since all we do it bash around in dirt quary pits and stuff. Anyone have any experience?

No relevant experience here, however I know that it is not really recommended to have a two speed in an offroader such as the Nitro MT because of the open design of the tranny. It is easy for rocks to get in there and mess up the two speed. If there was a way of enclosing it so that it was not open it might be ok. IE: the closed design of the savage and maxx.

Just make a skidplate to go over the spur gear opening with some left over body lexen or sheet metal, I stopped going through chewed up spur gears after that. The chances of debris going on the inside between the spur gear and tuned pipe is fairly thin. The 2-speed would really help the truck's overall drivability like most other MTs with 2-speeds.
