If I remove my front to dog bone shafts
Will I have a rear wheel drive RC ?

If your car has no center diff, yes. You shoud be able to remove the dog bones and make your car 2wd.

It looks like your FTX has no slipper or center diff...

... you should be good to go. Heck, take the whole front driveline out of there.

It comes with a 7.4 40c battery I've got. A 60c one coming should I expect slightly more power ? Got a hobby wing 60a esc

Depending on manufacturer, 'C' ratings don't always mean what they should.
Generally though, yes, higher C rating will give you more power.

I'm not sure I know 'A' rating for battery other than amps.

"A" is usually an abbreviation for "Amperes". Your ESC is rated to send up to 60 Amps of current to the motor (=444 Watts @ 7.4 v).
