Motor shaft and pinion length gripe.

Ah my bad! I was thinking it was an older Fury.
Even my 2013 V2 Fury has a 32P spur. I put a 32P spur on every one of my trucks, mostly because, for me, they are easier to set the mesh than it is for the 48P ones. The hardest one to find a 32P spur for that actually worked was the one in my HPI Blitz, and now I can't remember for the life of me what car it came from.

I've only ever ran into odd, shaped/proprietary shaped pinion gears in crawlers...this is definitely a PITA issue to experience lol.

I can relate to 2wd on brushless being a handful to drive for sure. Clay track is like ice once it dries up. Always a struggle to keep them going forward.
I never even considered putting a brushed motor in them. Perhaps I should.
Is there any way you could move the spur further out? Spacers, extra slipper pads stacked and glued together possibly? Then you could flip the pinion so the grub screw is inboard.
Or possibly a different slipper setup that might fit the Arrma?

It's a really odd setup for the spur on them. The spur and input shaft aren't even actually held into the transmission, so, once you pull the spur cover off, you can just pull the transmission input shaft out without taking any of the transmission apart. As for the spur and slipper, it's somewhat like the Senton's setup, just built for 2WD instead of 4WD, so there isn't much room to move the spur in and out.

I see. Well, I’ve actually never have seen a 2wd Arrma aside from the Boost that my brother has but that’s set up like a 4x4.
So a quality brushed motor with longer shaft is needed..
Been a long while since I dealt with a brushed motor TBH.
I have a couple of those TRX Titan motors in a bin that I took out of a Bandit and something else, I don’t recall.
Oh, also a brushed motor from a Losi RTR 22s as well as an old Trinity brushed motor kicking around somewhere in my disaster of a workshop.
I’ll take a look and see what I can find. Maybe something usable to you, IDK. But if so, you can have em.
I’ll get back to ya.

Just let me know. I can always use 1/10TH brushed stuff. I actually prefer 2WD 1/10TH SCT's over 4WD ones. Might explain why I currently have 9 2WD's, and only 3 4WD's, and, I'm gonna be picking up 2 more 2WD's soon (another HPI Blitz and an AE SR10 I'm gonna convert to a SC10 Pro2), and I have no real plans to pick up any more 4WD's.

Will do.
I have more 4wd as I prefer the easy go fast, LOL.
But mostly 1/8. I’m finding myself gravitating to 1/10 2wd lately. Easy and cheap. Still fun too.

More into ST than SCT. SCT flips over too easy, but it is nice when they land on their wheels, which rarely happens with ST’s.

It depends on how they are set up. I don't have as much issue with them flipping as I do MT's or buggies, but, a lot of that probably has to do with running them brushed.

I love em all though. If I had the scratch I’d have a hundred rc’s!😎👍
At one point, I had 44, and, maintenance wise, it got to be way, way too much. I keep saying I'm going to limit how many I have, and then end up buying more. If I were to take all the ones I have that aren't complete and sit in boxes, I would quickly go from the 14 I currently have running, to over 30, but, I also buy quite a few just for parts. At least, that's what I say when I buy them, and then I get bored, and end up taking all the parts chassis and building another one. It's why I have 3 running V2 2014 to 2018 Arrma Fury's, 3 HPI Blitz's ( I just picked up another one), and 5 HPI Jumpshot SC's (although, only 2 are currently useable, the other 3 need ESC's).

Before I was robbed a couple years ago, this pic was just about a third of my entire collection. I had rc cars all over the house. Oh, wait, I still do (actually, it isn't just me. She has even more cars than I do, mostly smaller scale stuff). Some in the bedroom, some in the living room, some in the dining room, two in the kitchen, and one of her buggies in the bathroom.

In that pic, there is a Redcat Lightning (white Porsche), an original 2015 BLX Arrma Fury (with an original purple Arrma Mojave 2WD 2014 body under the blue and white body), AE SC10 Pro, HPI Jumpshot MT V2, another AE SC10 Pro chassis, an original V1 2012 Arrma Fury mega, a Losi XXX SCT, an ECX Torment, a Traxxas Stampede 2WD, an original 2013 Arrma Raider XL, a Losi Mini B, and a Traxxas Bandit.

My wife would freak and I’d have to actually clean them.. thankfully I have a 32x30 garage. No cleaning required until I have to work on them.

I'm lucky in a way, because she is way more obsessed with RC cars and planes than I am (I'm not into planes at all), so I don't have to worry about her complaining. She says, as long as they aren't on her bed (which is covered in stitch stuff), or in her way in the kitchen, they will never be an issue. I often wonder what would happen if I put one of her mini ones on her bed, but I'm not brave enough to find out lol.

This is the spur and input shaft for the Arrma 1/10TH 2WD's (Gorgon, Quake and Fury). Like I said, it just slides out of the transmission without taking anything else apart. There isnt any room to move the spur because of how it rides on the slipper itself. It only has one pad on the inside of the spur.
