So I'm running low on ARO and thought Id try MMO since it comes in much large quantities than Hobbico brand ARO. So my question is Wheres a good place to buy it and how much do you usually pay for what size container?

Thanks

Last time I bought it I purchased it from Autozone for like 5 bucks. I then purchased a 250 ml fuel bottle for using it since you can't pour a quart into the carb opening. I think a quart of MMO will last you quite sometime but that depends on how many engines you have and how much you run.

Cool 5 bucks aint bad...I only have 3 nitros so I'm sure a quart would last along time....unlike a quaart...lol

I have been thinking about trying it myself, is it good with traxxas engines? I'm tired of these little bottles of ARO. Luckily my local boatyard sells it, or else I would have to order it online or take a 12 mile ferry ride to get it :\

What about cleaning out an ARO bottle and pouring MMO into it? I was thinking a nice funnel or possibly that.

been using MMO on RC s for a while, but not in the nitro fuel, just for engine lube, and after run oil. i get a gal at a parts house for $20. not all carry a gal , most do have qts. dont for get to put in your street trucks gas, 4oz in 10 gal gas. i all so run a upper oiler. check out http://www.ampcolubes.com/

Putting it into a hobbico branded bottle would work as well but I would use a funnel for a more cleaner transfer. The fuel bottle works quite well but the downside is that you have to add that to your cost.

Any downsides to just using WD40? Its simple, cheap and practically available at every corner store in the US. I just watched the Traxxas break in video and even though its realy dated, they still recomend WD40.

I use marvel to and what i did was found a bottle of eye drops that the top pulls out off it and poured the mmo in it worked really well but I've since invested in some hobbico

Your going to get mixed answers for this question. WD-40 is not really a lubricant, it is just to displace water. This is good, we don't want water left over in the engine. But you really also want some kind of lubricant, so the engine doesn't seize and you want parts to be able to move freely.

I think what it basically boils down to is for short term storage WD-40 is fine, but for long term storage you are going to want a little more than just WD-40.
