I have been collecting all 1/16th - 1/18th scale trucks to run on my little course out back. I still want this damn thing, just for my own experience with it. I personally love my brushless mini-max when I run it out back, figure this XRT would be just as fun...haven't pulled the trigger though. Looking at the Arrma Vortek as well, but it's 1/10th, but seems smaller

I’ve got the diffs changed , put in the metal spur gear , installed the wide kit on my mini max , I’m awaiting the delivery of the mini xrt for my grand daughter , see if me n mini max can keep up with her 🥴

Waited quite a while to get the parts I wanted , FINNALLY!! Got this little stick of dynamite put together , anybody got a mini max of mini xrt ,,,,, it’s not even close to fun to drive till gtr shocks are put on it , that figgers , just another Traxxas money trap that I fell into head first , anyways , this thing is a blast now , my mini max will be getting fixed next payday

Is that just the XRT body on the Maxx?
Are these things the same wheelbase?
I just changed some fluid and springs and the thing is fine for me. $70 for a set of shocks is dumb

So, a wide arm kit, HW BL120 G2, 3100KV 3650: I built the XRT minus the $70 center diff. I used a hot racing aluminum driveshaft and a slash rear diff.
It is sitting on the table in front of me waiting to go terrorize the street.
They are.

The gtr shocks were purchased at a trade show last year, they are the long shaft ones and there’s nothing in the market that is better for the mini xrt just puts it where it needs to be , I’m very much of a follower of that park flyer guy , he really does things right but everybody has there ,,,,,,, ya,,,, that ,, the darn thing lands from chest highth, yep you guessed it ,, like a wet towel , just poof that what the park flyers say , I like there theory’s to rigs

They are nice shocks, just way overpriced! For now, I will roll with the ultra-plastic until they bust open. A change in springs was good for me, to each there own.
This new G2 BL120 is way smoother, punch is set at 2 and now has controllable wheelies.

Both trucks need the had arms wide kit , I ordered those before I got both trucks , now if I could just find another set of gtr shocks me n my grandoughter will be set up great

It looks like the Mini XRT will ship with a cut-out in the front windshield. Not sure how I feel about this, I understand the reasoning behind it but it looks really strange. Just looks like a last minute change. The website has not been updated to show this cut-out which is also strange to me. This cut-out is going let a lot of debris inside the body. I was really excited about this release but I think I'm going to hold off getting one until I see some in the wild and see the results of having this odd looking cut-out. Maybe its just be me!!!

Traxxas released a new body and a kit to fill the windshield hole in the old bodies. Glad they did this.
