just bought a used mini t of ebay, all is ok, but no servo, understand need to change esc and receiver as mini t has 4 wire, i want to go brushless aswell just for the crack really, but want it to be fairly inexpensive, ideas? new to the mini's aswell so what else should i look out for, and what are best things to hop up 1st? thanks

Honestly it will be a very difficult rig to control, being 2wd. But if you do decide to go with it, you will need to do some changes with the entire electrical system. Such as the reciever, esc, and motor and servo. All connectors should be upgraded to a higher current such as deans, or traxxas high current connectors. The stock servo WILL NOT work with another reciever.

I was at Hobbytown the other day to buy some Micro -Ts and some guy was there with a Mini t that he had installed a 1:10 motor and esc in it. SpeedGem 15 turn with a 1.6 battery.

It's really not that diffucult to control as long as you don't go overboard with your system. Stay away from the extremely high KV motors (8000) unless you absolutely love top speed. Like Alpine said, you will need to upgrade all of your electronics in the rig.

I would definately upgrade the diff first to the MIP or even Losi maybe. I have the Losi ball diff but never ran it with the brushless.

BTW, ment to say, he couldn't keep the front end down and the thing flew about equal to a BL set up.

thanks for the reply's, any idea's of any decent set up's electric wise, an old mate of mine, who is in afghanistan at the moment ran a 9200kv brushless and it was extremely silly, any suggestions of anything just a little less powerfull than that, like i said, new to the whole mini world, thanks

Castle Creations. Micro Sidewinder ESC with the Micro 1/18th 4600kv motor. Its amazing. Then you would need a micro servo and reciever of your choice.

Well, to be honest... at the speeds you'll be seeing the entire truck is weak. IMO, the Mini-T is not a very durable truck once you put a brushless motor in it. It's a fun little truck but it won't take a beating like the RC18 vehicles will. I would upgrade the front/lower chassis piece to aluminum. I have GPM on mine.

Stock dogbones, losi dual disc slipper, losi ball diff, Airtronics servo, titanium turns. Street tires. 5400kv Mamba, 2s Lipo. It handled better than my RC18T.
