hey whats the advantages and disadvantages of these trucks. I'm looking to get a cheap truck with replacement parts that are available and is fast and can hit big jumps.

Take a look at the RC18T then as well. I think as far as handling goes the 18T is better than both. The Mini-T is a great car but is limited because of the 2wd. The MLST is a great truck but not nearly as responsive as the Mini-T or 18T or as quick. But I think the MLST is a better built truck than the 18t or Mini-t. Stronger in factory form for sure. Dual motors and dual steering servo's. The 18T is much easier to turn that the Mini-T and is just as quick even though its 4WD. BUt it has its little quirks just as all 3 models will!!

you can get the mini-t for around 100, add a lipo or nicad battery, and upgrade the motor for around 50. there are many hop ups for these vehicles, if you really wana get some speed 50-55 mph, you can add a brushless system. as stated though, it is only 2wd, but its not that bad.

If durability is what you are looking for, then drop the Mini-T from your list.

yeah +1 to drop the mini-T unless you doing carpet tracks or driving it on the road....they don't take jumps very well unless you dump a ton of upgrades into it...by then you could have built an entire RC18 FT model with a brushless setup, better servo and Batt pack....but it's all in what you like.....

Honestly, to hit big jumps and have a lot of aftermarket, the RC18T or MT would be best. You can replace every single part with aluminum or RPM. There are a few things you want to stay away from though, aftermarket turnbuckles other than Lundsford. Dont waste your money. Usually the cheap parts are cheap for a reason. The M LST2 is a great truck though as well and will take a beating. It will just cost more for the same mods as the RC18T

+2....

I had to have one when they first came out. The upgrades are unreal.
Seems like I would fix one thing and it would be something else. Started looking at all the upgrades everyone was adding and I could have a pretty nice Savage or something.

Wish I would have waited. Would've went with the RC18.

I got the 18t and have extensively modded it. It is as solid as a brick and extremely fast. I would recommend it every time.
