hey, wife just bought me a mini lst2 for xmas. and( won't let me touch it till)
i'd really like to go brushless/w lipo. but being my first electric, i don't have a damn clue.
she also bought me a micro desert, i've played with it a bunch at my lhs, they are a hoot, are they good to go out of the box , or should i hop this up also. peace:p:

lst 2 comes with metal diffs so you should be good to go for brushless. I am putting a castle 4200 in mine with a dynamite speed control (i already had it).

I would recomend a mamba micro pro 4200 setup with a 3S lipo.

thanks. i tried to pull up info on the terminolgy for electrics.
could someone explain what kv stands for.
also ignorant on the lipo battery..( 2s... 3s).?? or if some one would throw me a
master link, as in electric r/c for dummies

browse the electric section for alot of answers.

kv ratings on motors are based on rpm per volt. 4200kv means 4200rpm per volt.

lipo packs are rated by cells. 3.7V per cell. 2S is 7.4V and 3S is 11.1V. When they charge they actually peak higher than that. 4.1-4.2V per cell.
