I traded this guy for about 20 in parts for a mini lst, got what I paid for lol or not. just picked up a mamba compx brushless set up with the 8000kv motor. will this run the mini lst? I have heard both ways, should I put the (female dog) on a diet?(graphite) never had a mini, never had one this trashed...:shrug:

You can run a brushless like the one you have but youwill have to get the single motor mount.

It not only will make it go, it will fly. Gear it accordinly. Bone up on the diff issues with MSLT's and motors. You will need to do a cheap mod or find better f/c/r diffs to get them to hold up to a brushless. I've read through a couple of dozen threads about the small pinions breaking teeth with more than stock power and sometimes with just stock power. Losi is very aware of the issue and will ship a new improved set to you for free. Unfortunately they probably will not hold up much longer based on my reading. There are no metal diff gears being manufacteured yet that we are aware of.
The best fix;
Do this with the f/c/r diffs; Boil some water, drop the gears into a cup then pour the boiling water over them. Let them stand for 15-20 minutes. It changes the composition of the composite (plastic). I'm no engineer but reports are they are lasting longer.
Or
You can try the derlin set but I've read they are not that much better with brushless for power. A Mini T ball diff will drop directly into the MLST's center but that's only a partial fix.
I still want one anyway.
