Microsoft XP Service Pack 2

Just thought I would post this for HB. It looks like they did release it during the week of the 16th.

"The first computer owners to get Windows XP Service Pack 2 began receiving it on Wednesday night, Microsoft said. The update is being sent to people who have the automatic update feature turned on in the operating system. But it will take at least a few weeks to deliver the 80-plus megabyte patch to the installed user base, a company representative said on Thursday."

I ran across some info about service pack 2 and i thought i would paste it here. Maybe it can help someone out in the future::::::


SOME PROGRAMS STRUGGLE WITH SERVICE PACK 2
Having trouble with Windows XP Service Pack 2? Some folks are finding
certain programs don't work after installing Service Pack 2. In most
cases, the newly built-in and enabled Windows XP firewall is doing
some blocking.

The firewall's job is to block the bad guys if they try to access your
computer. So, you have to tell the firewall to let some programs in.
