Just a video of me doing a hill climb today. The hill is bigger than it looks. Out of the 4 guys we were riding with, no one would do it, so i said I would.

nice...u want to do some hill climbs that will scare you to death? come to idaho! theres a place called paradise here that will blow your mind!!!

Fixed..

And remember, this is really soft coal dirt. You can't just craw up it.

Yeah, Its not the biggest but its my first one so i thought i would share.

yeah i know its cool ajames, the camera will never even come close to showing how steep a hill really is....kinda sucks.

Man i miss my coal hills!!!!

Well done for one of your first hills. I may be in Iraq, but i think I know exactly where that was, if not, very close to it. I would have to venture a guess that a trip to knoebles from there would have been a fairly short drive.

Just be careful, some of those hills out there will kill the unprepared, and have. Not to mention have been known to change from weekend to weekend.

be sure to re post with an updated vid conquering the one that was about 250' further to the left.

Damn man, I had no Idea! Your right, knoebels is about 15 mins away! Its right by the bus barn for shamokin area school in shamokin!

Looks like you had no trouble at all making it up the hill, almost like you had done it many time before, good job man...

st.anthony in idaho puts glamis to shame!!!

I'd be willing to put some of the coal hills in this region against what you got in Idaho. Besides, I hear the only reason it's hard out there is getting traction on the potatoes at the bottom.:hehe:

LMAO!! So is it where you thought it was? In shamokin PA?

I grew up in Norry, and rode those trails most every weekend once i had a lisence and my own way of getting there. Even when I'm back stateside in NY, I still make the 4-5 hour drive to bring the Jeep or the bikes down to ride that area. Even been known to make a weekend of it camping in the hills over night. How you find time to play with RC's with that as your back yard is beyond me.

LOL..not only shmoooookn, but i think i know exactly what part of the area that was. I've been all over that area, shamokin, trevorton, kulpmont, bear gap...the trails are endless.
But..dammit, we shouldn't advertise....those trails SUCK actually, not worth going.
;)

You want to climb some butthole puckering hills, go ride the Hatfiel/McCoy trails in West Virginia! Scared the poop out of me, but it was fun. Beautiful mountains.
I'll never forget, when we showed up 4 guys with brand new Grizzly's were unloading the quads...They left and went up the mountain before us. We were all on Sport quads and quickly caught up to them about half way up. There was 4 guys standing on the edge of a cliff looking down....only 3 quads were parked though! It was still a step steady climb, all i remember is thinking " I hate that for ya buddy" and kept on getting up. No way i was stopping until I got to a level spot!

Just for the record, and to all of us here in the forum, ajames owes each and every one of us a HUGE appology. Why we don't have access to a trick rc doing 40mph off the top of a very steep 130-150' coal bank with a very driveable landing area is something he needs to explain. I don't know about some of you, but I personally have yet to see a revo at terminal velocity.

I'm planning a trip down that way when i get out of this dung hole of a country and will definately get some action shots worthy of publishing since someone else is holding out. ajames, you got sum splainin to do. That's right, that was a gauntlet, and yes I threw it.;-)
