New Ti screw set for the MBX-5 buggy

e0809-10.webp

source http://www.mugenseiki.com/titan-screws-e.htm

also for the MTX-3 on-road.

gotta love it how mugen actually just release the hopups so existing owners can upgrade, instead of kyosho who say screw the old users we'll just release a new buggy.

getting kinda annoying as of late.

Nice. Too bad my only screw related problem has been shearing the heads off of a couple...and titanium won't really help against that.

I havent had good luck with any titanium screws I've installed. They always seem to 'warp'. The heads go a little bit sooner too. I just hope these hold up better than ones I've used in the past.

Id like to see a hardenned steel set to be honest.

Good info though Humboldt, wasn't trying to bash the post.

Me too. The Ti isn't gonna cut the mustard for my problem/s. WHat's a brotha to do, Black oxide maybe? IF I can find em.

Yeah don't start a fight with humboldt, next thing you know there will be a thread in the flames forum saying your a smelly vagina.

ahahaha
just pissin around :lick:

back on the topic, i've heard of a few guys killing the K3 Ti screws too in some places, but they (Ti screws in general) should be fine as long as you use them on low stress areas.

Couple things I heard about the K3 Ti screws is they are not through out the whole car plus they are phillips head screws.. Anything phillips head for RC cars I stay away from.. I really hate drilling and tapping!!:\

Not sure if there are different grades of Ti like with steel, but what the heck I'll try 'em..
