Just got mine last weekend. Just got around to trying to get it leaned out today. I was about half-way through and the left front steering rod came undone (when the instructions tell you to locktite all metal to metal contacts, they mean it) and I won't be able to finish until I get to my LHS on Monday and get a new screw.
So far, I'm pretty happy! I've only been into Nitro for less than a year and have much to learn about tuning. Right now, I'm 1 1/2 turns in on the HSN and only getting temps in the 180's. She's a screamer where it stands!! I'd say by the time I get it to around 210 it'll be bad@$$!
The motor is easy to tune with plenty of grunt. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Iam very happy with mine it runs great had to rebuild the mill bad air leak in the front bearing and the guy who i got it from had the carb all messed up all in all it is a great trug just need to figure out a good set up an ideas?

after so much research and on-truck workin' i have failed to find a possible reason for this.

I have a question for all of you Mantis owners,
I bought my Mantis as a Roller from someone on eBay. the truck is fine. i had to rebuild the rear diff, but everything else is fine. The only odd thing i found on it was the front drive terrain. The wheel drive shafts come loose when the whole truck is touching the ground, this happens when it's on 0 camber or above. In order for me to make sure the shafts stay in place, i have to put the camber on 3 or possible more "-" camber.

I think the shafts are too short and would buy some right off, but i wanna make sure before i spend more money.

another question. i need help with the type of flywheel i need. the hobby shop person around my place (not really near by, and 1hr away on public transit XD) said any flywheel should work. so i trusted him. I got home and set everything up, the clutch bell does not even reach the end tip of the engines crankshaft. This, irritates me XD

help?

thanks! :)

I know this is an old post, but I just seen it.. I dont know how your drive train is setup, but if your driveshafts go into "cups", put an "O" ring in each cup (so the shaft can't slide too far in either direction) and it should keep em' from falling out! Had to do the same thing to a 1/10 buggy I have.. Good luck, hope it helps!
