In case you haven't read the article yet and need some help processing:
  • NO sprung suspension
  • 4 motors - one motor directly powering each hub
  • Chassis twists in center to facilitate articulation
I haven't looked into the company's Facebook much (they don't seem to have a website that I can find) but I'm wondering if they will release the files for DIY jobs. Could be a fun winter project.

It's basically an evolution of the old stick comp rigs that were motor on axle, just in a smaller scale. I'm kinda like others, the performance is impressive, but it doesn't really resemble any real vehicles to me.

that gives me flashbacks to a "thing" i saw on a forum in the very early days of crawling when guys used Clodbuster axles. a guy literally used about a foot long piece of aluminum angle iron as a chassis. i can't remember exactly how, but i think he 4 linked it with rather long links. i don't remember shocks... still had Clod wheels/tires. it was a spine with gearboxs/axles at each end.

Those rigs were pretty popular back in the 2010s. There was a lot of weird ish going on in the comp crawler scene back then lol.
