what about the jerkey chew stuff? i mean i know it doesn't have nicotine but maybe haveing that in your lip to suck on instead of chew might work. i know some people stop smoking buy just suckin on a cinnoman stick instead.

lol jerkey aint as expensive as chew.

Every time you want to put a dip in your mouth go drive your RC, or work on it, or do some reading on here, any thing to occupy your time and distract you from wanting to chew.. Just an idea...

Use the "association with pain" method. tell everybody around you to kick you in the shin if you take a dip!

seriously though, good luck! I've seen some people pull out of some stuff way worse than chew. you can do it!

any addiction is tough to break i was addicted to percocet and morphine after i had my motorcycle accident best thing i found was just cold turkey man the withdrawls sucked donkey peepee. But be around friends who will help you get off of it and not be around those who will encourage i found out how valuable they were when i had to stop drinking for a few months

put this in your dip can

That dont work, you just end up getting bruises all over and thats it...tried the patch, and worked for awile(kinda felt good i might say...) but BANG!! the ''stress'' for one day of work did it and...hey you got a cigarette? Might give the patches another try, gotta stop that damn ''expensive'' habit...if not for me then ill do it for my little baby girl...:\

You might want to try Chantax. Just happen that work offered to us for free and it worked for me. 2yrs no cigs. Dont know about chew. Just a thought.

Seriously though, I started smoking when I ws 16 or 17. I quit when I was just about 21. It was a bitch at first though for sure. IMO it's all about willpower. All these drugs and patches and chew toys are all just a copout for people that don't REALLY want to quit. If you REALLY want to quit there's only one simple solution. DON'T BUY IT. If you don't buy it, you can't use it. If you can get out of the grocery store or gas station w/o buying any then you are more than halfway there. I believe giving up a simple addiction like chewing or smoking can teach you a lot about yourself. Sure you can use another drug to help ween yourself off of it but other than that you will have gained very little. There are very few things to me that are more satisfying than telling folks how I quit smoking... I just quit smoking.

Whatever you do, you need to quit NOW!!!!!
I chewed for years(Levi) and lost MANY teeth to it. Your way to young to be losing teeth, and it WILL happen. I had "soft" teeth to begin with, and it just rotted them.

I really was a lucky one, I just quit. PEROID. I had changed jobs that didnt let me chew, so it was a mental, environment thing. I didnt chew at home with the family. SO, quit, and find a way to "change" the place, and or time you chewed. If you dipped after school hanging out at the park, go hang out at the mall, change the places that you chewed.

Dont know if it will help or not, but good luck.

It will rot your teeth, and it sucks to be 23 with the teeth of a 70 year old, trust me. I didn't chew, but I severely damaged my grill with dope, and it's one of the only things that I screwed up that I'll never be able to fix. My dental bill for the past 14 months totals $12,768, plus the cost of my medication for the different procedures.
