1) The screw location on the bottom of the chassis that secures the front diff case to the chassis are not sunken. Should I put button head screws there bottom of chassis)? I noticed the back screws are recessed but the fronts arent. Whats up with that????

2) Can someone post closeup pics of your mammoth so i can see how things are togeter...such as, brake-throttle set up....and...steering assembly? it would help me.

I didnt take this apart so a little lost how it goes together and the manual i printed off of hobby people isnt very clear.

the front skid plate is what has the countersunk holes in the front

thanks...i found the skid plate...It makes sense now. it was a box with about a crap load of other parts. I over looked it.

Team..if you can get some close pics of the top view that would be greatful.

Got them for ya. Just have to download them to the site. Gettem up by tonight

awesome..thanks bud...will check back later on tonight.

thanks beason

I can't tell in one of those pics but does the steering servo connect to a servo tray?

If so i got to order one. Theres not one here in the box of parts my buddy left for me.

looks like that whole top plate that has the holes in it.. what did this guy do to it??

yea there are two layers.. (like a buggy) and the servo goes in the top one.. you just need those little plastic peices that the screwes go into.. bring it buy if you wanna.. i can help or try my hand at it..

Sorry about the pics. My smartcard has some kind of error on it and I can't get the pics out. Really sucks becuase my daughter's birthday pics are on there as well.

I make an aftermarket servo tray to attach things to and it will add strength. you can ckeck out an old auction if you want ebay #5972569270 just search the # and you will see it and then you can look for the part that is the same. or buy one from me.

Some guys in the mammoth forum are running longer screws from the bottom of the skid plate up through the diff houding and putting nuts to help hold everthing more securely. Some are doing the same thinf with their actual diffs also. I believe DADDDERS sells a kit. Check out Dadders.com.

My adobe Acrobat has expired. Someone please look at the link below and see if it shows detalied intructions on how the front steering assembly screws to the chassis.

I have the new chassis and there are so many new holes as compared to the old one.

Let me know if its a good illustration or not. If so, I will ativate Adobe again. Thanks

What i need is a pic with one of the front wheels taken off to allow the camera get a closeup of where the chassis bolts to the steering assembly.
