Oh I did see them axles he made and was just floored with envy.. I had to look away.. LOL.. J/K That guy is a skilled machinist..!

Not Bad!

Looks good Skip . A few quick notes: dont have the fenders come in on the bottom or you will never get it out of the mold. Also instead of plaster I would get hydrocal .It's like plaster but a lot finner grit . I use it for quick run molds or test molds to see how they will look. Vacuum formers tend to want large quanities so if you run into that let me know and I'll burn you a few Watch your symmetrics and good luck .

Holy cow bro..!~ Your attached pic is a set up. Why dont you make this dam thing.. hahahah..

I will be taking all percautions to have an easy release.. Not sure why its like that but I have been using that to shape the fenders.. and will be filling the wheelwells in.. :)

Thanks for the tip. I will absolutly take your word for it, Thanks for the tip..!!

Oh and BTW what is that machine..? A bench top 3 axis mill.. light duty kinda style..???

A wana b mill LOL

That is my old mold room and the machine is a big drill press that I converted into a mill. I still use it for rough shaping It's not really CNC but I do have a camera on it and I run all three axis on my PC in my office and it has a follow comand prog so if I have something close to the body style I'm doing then I just hit exacute and it takes over . from there it goes into a real CNC machine then a resin mold is made then downstairs to the forming machines . This is why I have no life and my house looks like a factory on the inside LOL

Clay will shrink as it drys you know, sometimes as much as 12%. And make sure it drys slowly, mostly covered, or it might crack...... my experience as a potter. Awesome project!! Can't wait to see pics of the next step.

Hows this coming along Skip? Any new progress?
