a piece of brand new 4 x 8 sheet = springy! Your truck hit that thing and go to take off and catch and nice out of control bounce...seen it done too many time skating, biking and dirtbiking....
Jamie, heres how you build a ramp....
Take a sheet of play wood.....take a pen and draw out the shape of the curve like you want it....starting from the bottom corner and going upwards. Ok, now cut that shape out, put it on another piece of plywood(you may have room on your original piece) and trace that shape out again, and cut that out. Now you have your two shape forming sides.
Now decide how wide the ramp should be. Set up your two sides and measure to get it the right width. Using your measurements, cute 2x4s to that length and put them on the side the two sides. Some at the bottom and some going up the ramp.

NOTE! - Those drawing is pretty sketchy do not mount in that way...
No alway remember that its easy to break a board threw the 2inch part than threw the four inch part. So always mount the boards with 2 inch flat piece up wards. Also remember to make the flat part go along and be flush with the curve.....take a jig saw and shape it a little bit if you must to make jumping surface sit easier. Inace you havent figured it out..to hold the boards inplace you just put a screw or two threw the outside shaped supports into the 2x4 braces. If you need a better diagramph let me know, I'll make one.
Okay....now you should have something starting to look like a ramp or almost one. Now take a piece of plywood and and soak it in water for long periods of time, contantly let a water hose run across the wood as to make it flexible without it breaking. Now lay it long was across the ramp....that mean 8 foot wide and 4 foot high, this helps the bend go alot easier....it takes alot of pressure off the board and prevents cracking. One the board is layed down take a pencil and mark off the place to gun along the curve REMEMBER- Leave a little extra at the bottom for a smooth way to enter the ramp transition. Cut it out, lay the board in place and put screws in. Threw the jumping surface intot he 2x4s under it, and also in the sides if you have room(I doubled up the ply wood on botht he sides and jump surface because mine was made to hold me no my skateboard before it was RC.)
I'd advise using some kind of protecter now if you plan on keeping it oudoors. Thompsons water sealer, a couple of coats of paint, a piece of sheet metal as I have, many possibilites.
Here are some pictures of my ramps and such if you need a little help picturing what I'm explaining.
All these ramps I have personally built from stratch...if you need anymore help, dont hesitate to PM with with any questions.
Now go build a damn ramp, and cut a few back flips!
