Considering getting a Traxxas Slayer Pro 4x4

Seems like a good first nitro. Watched a few videos and I already know what upgrades I'm gonna get. It is pretty expensive but it sure is worth it. If y'all have any nitros, please post any photos here, and a little advice about nitros.

I also picked a Traxxas for my first Nitro.
I liked the idea that everything came in the box as one unit and all I needed to buy was fuel.

I know there are lots of different opinions but I followed the manual to a T and it was a really good experience!

My advice is buy at least one extra glow plug to start. After the break in it wouldn't start, the plug had fouled.
I also like having extra air filters so I can just swap them out when they're dirty. Then just clean and reoil. And pick up some after run oil.

Alright. So I’ll need another glow plug, after run oil, and an air filter. And it comes with a battery and charger for the starter right? Anyway thanks for the advice

idk squat about the slayer. iv heard some stuff about it, but nothing that would stop someone from having it as a "first nitro".
iv never had good luck with the ez-start system. to the point that its probably my most hated RC product of all time.
and ill give you fair warning, don't run traxxas fuel. its junk, its inconsistent and leads to tuning issues. never had good luck with it ether.
so i guess my advice is avoid traxxas fuel, and when the ez start starts giving you headaches put a pull starter on it. beyond that, enjoy nitro. but be careful, its a bit addictive.

oh and invest in a temp gun if you don't have one already. makes tuning easier.
