Making a class rule set

Trying to bring back a Mini class at new to me tracks for the winter, do you think these are fair and open rule sets?

Mainly Mini B since thats what I run and which is the most preforming, but if any people show up with a Mini T or JRX, most likely will have an open/Mixed class as I don't see them as much as Mini B's.

These are just something I came up within the past 30 minutes

The stock brushed class is sort of limited in a way as in my thinking, they are lower powered and some of the electronics are restricted like a 2in1 esc receiver, and don't need much as they are slower than the brushless or mods.

I would love to see some organized racing for these little cars. My mini-b has been fun but always seems to be all by itself on the track. I like your idea.

I'm not opposed to different scale races but I don't know about making it a "brand" scale race.
I mean I don't know! Like would you get more racersif you opened it up for groms or associated has 1/18 right?
Just for more noobs at the track... Its ALWAYS good to have an inexpensive "entry" class or 3 avail for kids and ppl just starting out.
I have NO idea if those trucks would even good on a track so just spitting ideas here...

One of the other carpet tracks did a Mojave grom class for their summer series.

But I just did losi since that's more race oriented and performs better on track, and well built. And that's what we did at the previous 2 tracks.

This track does a spec slash class on Friday nights so there's that

Its been a long time since I raced.
When I started, I had NO idea what to expect.
Ppl there were nice to me and I learned, a LOT.
The novice classes are great to welcome ppl like that and let them run with other ppl who are prob all going to be crashing and going slower etc.
Maybe the Slash class covers all that now?

Racing categories are hard to put together for beginners. Even the Losi cars have brushed and brushless variants. Plus they have the mini JRX2 that's a whole lot of fun, but may not be competitive against a brushless mini b. The grom is interesting but I'm not sure I would call it a racer. The associated car is four wheel drive which makes it in a class more with the Grom. An interesting thought would be an out of the box rtr. Such as the Traxxas Bandit or the RC 10b rtr. Both of which cost less than the mini b brushless.

I think I saw a race full of Associated 1:14 monster vans and trucks.
Races that allow a relatively low dollar investment to still be fun and competitive.
I don't care what kind of car or truck as long as its not a POS that won't be any fun after the race!
I see a HUGE divide in what I consider to be a "race car" and an "affordable car".
If noobs see they are competing against ppl with $1000's invested, it can be intimidating if not just a total turn off to racing.
I'm aware that racing isn't "cheap" generally speaking.
But that doesn't mean there's no room for "whatever brand" stock novice class!
Then I think well if I was a kid, I'd prob feel better racing in similar age group as well... So there's a few things here really.
Maybe the "Slash -stock" answers this? But then my question does go to "Why not an RC10b, PR S1RM or a Kyosho Dirt Master too? I like a stock "class" rather than stock "brand".
I feel like forcing kids to buy any brand is sort of immoral.
Letting kids compete against each other on a track full of identical cars excepting their livery... that's honest racing and what I think noobs should at least have the option to compete in.
Adults I feel like there's a bit of a tougher skin. Adults understand more about money and money buys speed etc.
Adults have access to money that kids simply do not have, generally speaking too.
"Lots of ins and outs and what-have-you's in the ol'Duder's head!"

Why force a brand and just do a 2wd SCT class.
Maybe fun to see how the Arrma Fury holds up against a 2wd Slash.

Playing around with the idea of starting a racing club here next year. Nothing racing wise on this area

I'm not a SCT guy so there might be elements that I'm missing.
i think the 4x4 would prob have an advantage in and out of turns over 2wd.
Maybe weight difference would make up for it.

I would still enjoy watching them race, combined or no.
