Well i wonder why it stopped going John..... Doodoo head didn't lock tire the grub screw cause apparently I enjoy creating problems for myself.....
2 hours later...
Fixed that issue but think my mesh may be off omylanta what a chore to drop that plate again...
As I was moving my light around I unscrewed a phone holder that just was always in my way with the light and realized I now have a ghetto fpv for my cars...
It's just gonna cost me an arm and a leg in tape to tape it down each time I swap vehicles with it
I recorded on the iPhone and will be uploading a video of it in action
Can't wait lol

If they shaft if that holder is magnetic (if not tape a piece of steel to the shaft)... get a good neodymian magnet to hold it from inside, easy to move then.

thats way better than alien tape!!

so i took the wraith for its first trail run yesterday.
it loved the woods, it ate up the leaves and spit em out.
it slow crawled when i needed it to.
-------i need better shocks----
but it was cold. i didnt think it was super cold but i wasnty plastic buried in snow lol
hopped over a small branch and kersnap... snapped the spokes on the wheel.
ordered a set of beadlocks for her tho. and @270Crawlers had a set of tires he traded me so we will be back!!

edit i also forgot to mention.
the other day i snapped something in the transmission from a super small wreck. well i had another axial transmission with metal driveshafts so i swapped em out as well.

I realized I had rear end wider than the front end as the hubs were from the cen (where the tires were originally but they rubbed the shocks)
Well the rear hub is short with the front being long to offset the dually.
I'm waiting on a set of 2.2 rims for these big CHONKY tires I'm gonna slap on her
Untill then she's rocking a set of knock off hyrax tires on beadlocks with wheel weights in the front cause their on the rim and I don't wanna remove em.

I I forgot I was bored so I threw an extra battery tray in the bed so when I'm on the next trail walk and one does i can just swap the plug over to the good battery lol šŸ˜†
I doubt it will stay there for long.
It's like a spare gas tank
It's just zip ties onto the frame tho

Filled the frontnaxle with marine grease
Gonna work on rear axle next.
Quality of these is questionable
I've already stripped out one screw
Soft ass screws it came with were lanky. And one screw was a Phillips head lol I swapped it out and am going to order a new set of screws cause I have a LOT to replace on this. We are waiting on a set of links to get here before we install em so we aren't having to do it twice.
Vegeta is excited to have a truck comparable to the ryft For the trails

Hopefully the rubber screws are the worst of it.šŸ¤ž
They sure look good! šŸ˜Ž

Hope they hold up, they look nice. :thumbs-up: Hopefully it's just the crappy screws, that you can overcome easily.
fingers crossed

i thought so too, got silver links on the way to go with em, after i added the grease they are soooo heavy, but not too heavy, just a little extra noticeable weight down low

the Wraith is awesome and i think these will make it more awesomer, i can't wait to try it out on the trails i ran it on last year, my goal is a tough trail rig with smooth crawling manners and enough durability to hang with my other builds. Current setup below.
Electronics:
Hobbywing Xerun Axe 540 sensored brushless motor
Hobbywing Xerun Axe ESC
Hobbystar 45kg steering servo with 25T aluminum horn

Drivetrain & Suspension:
Steel driveshafts
Aluminum front and rear axle housings, torn down and packed with marine grease; reassembled with threadlocker
Silver aluminum suspension links

Wheels & Tires:
2.2 aluminum beadlock wheels
2.2 Super Swamper style crawler tires in soft compound

Hardware notes:
Most chassis screws are still the factory steel hardware
Stainless hardware is used at the axle-to-link mounts, shock mounts, steering links, and knuckles
Every stainless fastener got a drop of blue Loctite; stainless is softer, so use good hex drivers and don’t over-torque

The aluminum axles and links stiffened the whole rig and tightened up the steering. i i did the thing with the servo to get it lined up straight, my dab ust took full effect and I'm forgetting as i type... nooooooo
With the Swampers on beadlocks and the Axe system, it crawls smoothly and feels nice in the yard.
the "hiccup" is not an issue anymore the steering feels much more tight and responsive. i dig it
