hey guys, back from beat the creek, i went with a plan this time, instead of just being awestruck.
i decided it was time for an scx6. (there were a LOT of them there this year lol)
the guy gave me both bodies, and the interior for them both. I'm probly gonna keep the honcho body on until i get the f250 body (that thing looks awesome)
before hand i watched a lot of videos on it and saw that the general concensus was it requires a few upgrades out of the box.
the big ol honkin servo is strong and flexes the servo mount plate so i still need that ( no one had one gotta order it)
the knuckles flexed as well ( allegedly) so i got aluminum knuckles
the shock towers needed attention so we got aluminum towers
i also got a set of 5mm wheel hex extendos
i was 50 shy of getting a vanquish carbon kit but he wasn't comin off of it for less lol
total for this truck and upgrades was a scary 1296.00 total for a new scx6 1200. so i got all that for an additional 100 bucks off sticker price. i think i got a pretty good deal, especially considering this was my goal this year
then i got my son a "wheel chaulk" ascent 18 lol, but thats for the next post
I'm considering just getting aluminuim axles for em all and piutting their cleaning off untill i get the axles, they all SWAM thru mud id be surprised if it didnt get all up in there.
the Old man (ecto) was burning thru a battery about every 20 mins! (usually get almost an hour) it was so heavy wiwth the mud and grass bass that the noticeable extra weight was really draining the batteries to haul it
