hey guys, back from beat the creek, i went with a plan this time, instead of just being awestruck.
i decided it was time for an scx6. (there were a LOT of them there this year lol)

the guy gave me both bodies, and the interior for them both. I'm probly gonna keep the honcho body on until i get the f250 body (that thing looks awesome)
before hand i watched a lot of videos on it and saw that the general concensus was it requires a few upgrades out of the box.
the big ol honkin servo is strong and flexes the servo mount plate so i still need that ( no one had one gotta order it)
the knuckles flexed as well ( allegedly) so i got aluminum knuckles

the shock towers needed attention so we got aluminum towers

i also got a set of 5mm wheel hex extendos

i was 50 shy of getting a vanquish carbon kit but he wasn't comin off of it for less lol

total for this truck and upgrades was a scary 1296.00 total for a new scx6 1200. so i got all that for an additional 100 bucks off sticker price. i think i got a pretty good deal, especially considering this was my goal this year

then i got my son a "wheel chaulk" ascent 18 lol, but thats for the next post
I'm considering just getting aluminuim axles for em all and piutting their cleaning off untill i get the axles, they all SWAM thru mud id be surprised if it didnt get all up in there.
the Old man (ecto) was burning thru a battery about every 20 mins! (usually get almost an hour) it was so heavy wiwth the mud and grass bass that the noticeable extra weight was really draining the batteries to haul it

Wish they would make them in the SCXL size again. For short course
lemme find the card, there was a vendor there had literal boxes of tires and i really think there was a set that said sct on the description, if i can find it ill messege em and ask if they have any left? i rerally think they had about 20 sets, from a hobby store buyout

o snap i forgot about a lot of other stuffs. those were all just for the scx6, i picked some stuff up for other trucks as well!!
holmes hobbies puller pro v2 motor
tekin roc 412hd motor
mamba x esc
sidewinder 4 esc
raw 600 servo
a set o0f 1.9 rims
a set of 2.2 rims for the wraith
and i decided I'm going to slowly start a build piece by piece, I'm trying to score some carbon works chasis and skid plates to use this lcg transmission from reefs, i actually picked that up off the ground. i hollered out did anyone lose something, like 30 people turned and looked but no one spoke up.
i lost a bnib battery so i guess this was the rc gods way of saying that i need to tighten up lol
so lost a battery gained a trans. (id rather have the battery tbh)

Looks like it needs a deeper puddle. 🤣🫠
she did, her driveshafts were just kissing the top layer, was just a little too tall to sink in, but it rocked thru it all with relative ease

Nice! Great haul for sure, glad you got your SCX6!!! A couple of suggestions for when your wallet recovers.
3Bros Anti Foams These are pricey but work really well. make sure you order two sets, they come in pairs.
Fine Laser Design Hood latch This is way better than dealing with body clips!
Fine Laser Designs Prop Rods These help keep the body out of the way when you load batteries or do maintenance.

YEAH THE HOOD LACTH AND FOAMS ARE ASAP ITEMS oops,
i had to buy clips for them none of mine were large enough lol, that latch is pricey tho so may have to wait a bit.
i was hoping 3bros would have some but they didnt bring many scx6 parts so i missed out on that.
i just sat on the scx6 and tried to drive myself but it didnt wanna pull me and i only weigh 150lbs

I'm not even gonna try that, I weigh almost as much as two of you!

ok i sat in the wheelchair and it pulled me easily! over the grass it struggled a small amount, if i had larger tires on the chair it would have been fine.
so now i need a wagon to pull. lolol it never ends!!!!!
