i made the mistake of telling my kid I might be able to get him a monster truck.... i tried to tell him it wasn't a sure thing, but he's only 9 and I don't think he heard the "maybe" part.

RedStang, I understand your disappointment and frustration with your purchase. However please do not use derogatory racist names for people here, stupid woman would have been sufficient. Thanks.

Thanks Redstang.

Cmon X, you can't bail on me, I can still live vicariously through you :D

You know me man, I get just as pissed off as the next guy, but I never use someones Nationality or race in a derogotive way, I have not seen you do this either, tough guy. I would be mad as hell if I was Redstang, thats why you did not see me signing up for this great magic wheel deal.

yea...just hope no1 gets as mad as us with thier tx's of thier thousand dollar nitros in thier hand with thier finger on the throttle behind a ramp higher then themselves
ouch

Its no splinter off my chopsticks.
If I was to get upset every-time I heard a non PC comment I would be one sour SOB. It does help to read your post before you click the reply button this is a public forum.

As for the deals to be had on the MagicWheel,
The reason the price has gone up is that the us market for their products is not as expected. (Go Figure)

They originally signed up to be the US distributor but have not sold the volume required from the motherland. They only have a limited amount left from their original purchase order and intend to get top dollar for them retail or e-bay. If/when they order more they will be at a reseller price not a distributor price.

Well that is the inside scoop. I couldn't believe the conversation, those two women talked so fast may hair blew back. I could only understand every 4th or 5th word and an occasional R/C or Traxxas. ( No Mandarin translation)

Hi all, I'm new to this forum, and I would've posted in the other thread but it's been closed so I'll post my thoughts here.

I have a Magic Wheel myself and I think it's a good truck that seems more geared for beginners (anyone new to nitro R/C) unlike the T-Maxx beneficial for more serious R/C freaks. It can keep up with my neighbour's kick ass T-Maxx (we both got our trucks at around the same time, December 2002). There are some typical issues that sxe already listed and is expected from a cheaper R/C model but are easy to fix and maintain. It is fairly durable once you tighten screws, put in thread-locks, silicon, etc. You guys will like it if you're willing to fix it all up from out-of-the-box state, which i'm sure most of you serious hobbiests don't mind.

I'm happy with my purchase but might want to pick up a .21 or .24 engine to replace the .15 CXP soon (the .15 is plentyful but I'm greedy!).

Here's a url with a couple videos for you to observe:

What ever happened with this thread. Did any of you get the truck? If you did long did it last? Are they still going (running)?

Please update!

The only update is that there is no update. That is why this thread disappeared without too much ado. Glad for your interest, but sorry there is nothing to report.

From what I know, there is perhaps one member of this forum that actually purchased one of these things. He ended up changing out a bunch of the parts for T-Maxx parts. End result was a truck that cost about the same as a T. Not certain whether he liked it or not.

I've heard loads of ppl who hate smarttech and the magicweel for being a cheap tmaxx knock off and i think that some one with a magic weel should tell us if its any good... wait cozea dont you have one

It is certainly amazing what the search engine turns up when you dump "Magic Wheel" into it.

Here's COZEA talking about his:

Here's an older, not-so-nice review of the product:
https://www.rcnitrotalk.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2148&highlight=magic+wheel

Another older post, looks like KUMA owns one:

If this doesn't help, I suggest PMs to either COZEA or KUMA.

Snap-On is now selling these trucks. I can''t find a link, but they are sellign them with a painted Snap-on body.

Yes, supposedly the all american tool company is selling cheap Chinese knock-offs. I'll see if I can find a picture.
