Hey guyz, just got into buggies, and may be needing a set of new shoes for the buggy . I am looking at the crime fighter prolines, and what does M2 and Xtr mean??

Thanx

From the F.A.Q. section of the proline site

What is the difference between M2 and M3 compound?

a. M3 is the much softer compound of the two and is used when more traction is desired. The M2 will give you better tread life but less traction. The newer R3 material is just as soft as the M3 but will give you an increased tread life.
b. This is similar to the 1/8 XTR and M2 tires. The M2 is the softer of the two and will give you better traction. The XTR is more firm and will give you longer tread life.

if ya plan to race m2 if you are gonan bash xtr will last u alot longer

He asked what the difference between M2 and XTR was...

This is the difference: "Pro-Line 1/8th scale buggy tires are generally available in M2 and XTR compounds. The XTR compound is the hardest compound and will provide the longest tire life and works best on hard packed, dry tracks with high traction. If the track is wetter or less hard packed, the M2 compound tires will provide better grip with decent wear, but will generally wear faster than XTR compound tires."
