This thread will be for my Mojo and Typhon GROM. Working on rebuilding the Mojave currently, gonna grab yall some pics and stuff. After rebuild is done gonna layout future plans and all that crap.

Here’s where I was last night:

Chassis all cleaned up, putting in and greasing diffs next. Then electronics. Then arms, shafts, shocks, and bumpers.

Installed center shaft/gear, and motor fan.

Motor, RX (hot glued in), and battery strap installed:

Getting there! ESC needs to be resouldered by my dad (thanks) and then that and a servo is coming in. But arms, shocks, and driveshafts are next.

I WAS working at a steady pace…. But then I noticed @Littlemotor ‘s build thread and that went out the window……

Got the lower arms on:

Now working on the hubs…. Cleaning bearings up. One done, three to go:

Stock GROM steering rack is a piece of crap. Fully plan on replacing it with a Aluminum one.

But, I made due with what I had, took it all apart, cleaned everything up, loosened/tightened up where needed. Smoother, but not great.

At this point, I would have put on the upper ‘top deck’ as I call it, to cover all the drivetrain/steering/diffs, but the old one had cracks in it, letting in dirt/othercrap. Therefore this rebuild. Gonna be getting one of them soon. Now, back to building.

Now, on to the shocks:

Not doing a shock rebuild, since they’ll just leak all the fluids anyway. So, gonna take off the springs, clean it up, and that’ll be good enough until aluminum shocks.

Getting close! Once the ESC gets a new plug on then that’s going in with a servo. Then when the top deck arrives rebuild is donezo!

Was trying to solder on a new connector…. The lead got hot and moved in the case, when I tried to bend it back, snapped. So, gonna either have to get this thing EC3 connectors or try with some other IC2s. Would have to buy more though. If I went EC3 I’d need new batteries, but getting them would be cheap.

If you have a connector for a battery in IC2 and esc side, connect them together like you would if you were plugging in a battery, and that shouldn't happen again.
