which way do the clutch shoes go onto the flywheel? Does the front of the shoe face the front or rear of the truck? any help would be greatly appreciated.

shoes installed facing forward per blow up. Clutch bell is installed but there is about 1/8" in and out movement in clutch bell. Is this normal?

It depends on how you want it to take off-- put leading edge (the long part faces counterclockwise from the pegs) for instant grab, or the other way for a softer feel on-power.

well it looks like I need to turn the clutch shoes around then. What about the play in the clutch bell ? Does that sound right to you?

I shim the Clutch as much as possible.

Cupooter.. You can't turn shoes in the opposite direction.

well that sucks. I think my fingers are too numb to take them off and turn them around again tonight.

OK. Didn't know that :)

Reason why is the centrifugal force of the crank shaft spinning in one way allows the clutch to work. The higher the RPM's the springs allow the cluth shoes to move out and engage the clutchbell. WHen this is done, the engine then engages the transmission or diff.

I knew that. On my Maxx though you can turn the shoes around so the pegs "push" the shoes rather than pulling them.

Is there some special design on the LST2 that prohibits this?
