Now that our season is pretty much done here until the spring, I've been giving alot of thought into what exactly I want to race next year. I raced 1/10th for most of the season, and enjoyed it alot. I have already made plans to purchase the AD2 for next year.
I guess about half way through the year, I bought a practically brand new K3 to do some 1/8th scale racing. I have enjoyed this as well, but there has been one thing that bothers me about it. The money involved. Not only the cost of the buggy, but the cost of a decent engine (at least $200), tires (60 bucks a pop), and so on. To me it just seemed that the cost was out weighing the fun factor.
However, I know if I turn around and sale my 1/8th scale setup, and just concentrait on the truck, that I'm going to be missing the 1/8th scale bad by the middle of next season.
whats a guy to do?
and just for the record, the money isn't a huge deal, as far as, not being able to pay a bill, or feed my mouth. It's more of a moral thing, like I could be spending or saving or something.
Just curious as to some of your thoughts guys on the money you put forth to this hobby. Seems like I always let my hobby decisions drive me nuts.
