Had my Losi Tenacity DB for about 2 weeks and I snapped the front end and the front end differential cover. Ordered parts from HorizonHobby.com. About ten screws couldn't be removed. Horizon sent me all parts I needed to replace; free of charge. Quality service from a quality company. After about 2 weeks down I'm back on the (dirt) road. I love this buggy!

Oh btw... Replaced the S605 servo with a Savox SC-1258TG and I'm running a 3s battery with the 12t pinion.

Always liked the look of the DB.
Stock RTR servos always seem to be less than spectacular (way less).
Did yours crap out on you, or you just replaced it before the inevitable?

Keep us posted on your Losi RC endeavours.

Me and my brother bought the servos before they crapped out. I like it way better. I've owned an HPI, Team Assoc., and a Losi and never had a servo go out on me. That would suck.

Lost one of the heads to the driver. Took the other one off. Driving headless. Also reconnected the light after the drive shaft chewed up the cable.

Replaced the shocks because they dont hold oil and the springs are poopie...and they are made of plastic. I may keep them as spares and replace springs and seals. I did buy the Hot Racing TD100x and TD90x blue anodized shocks with springs. They look sweet. Haven't taken it on jumps yet. Maybe this weekend.

Ordered the front shocks but they came cross-threaded. Had to return. Gonna try the Traxxas 7461x PTFE-coated with springs.

After adding the front shocks from Hot Racing. I noticed that the rear shocks don't have a bleeder screw but the front ones do. Anyone else think they have a design flaw or could they be knock offs? Rear shocks only have a bleeder hole that causes leaks if the rubber bladder doesn't sit right. Incidentally, I plugged the holes up with a tooth pick and Gorilla Glue. btw, I rebuilt all 3 differentials and used 3k wt in the front, 5k n the middle and 5k in the rear. This thing is SO quiet now.

So SAD that after a YEAR and several upgrades to my own LOSI Tenacity DB, Losi releases the Tenacity DB Pro. I replaced the Shocks, Steering Servo, all plastic rods with steel turnbuckles and a Heatsink with fan. Basically $200 later I end up with a Tenacity DB Pro. #BURNED I still run stock motor, ESC and Receiver. Not sure I will buy LOSI again. I will stick with Kyosho, Team Associated, and Tekno.
In any case just some older pics of the stock build. Some updated pics. And... I ordered 4 Duramax Vindicator tires. They look SICK!

Yet another RC noob here. I made some kits like 20 yrs ago but never got super deep into it. Just ordered a Tenacity DB Pro. I'm in Australia so in the current postal climate might take forever to get here....

Anyway..... After doing some research I ordered a few supplies... Savox 1258 servo, TLR bearings and steering rack and RPM skid pads. I also ordered a pack of Losi specific tools from my LHS, 2x 3s batts and charger.

Some questions.....
  1. Is there anything else I need, in terms of upgrades and tools, before I start?
  2. I heard some nasty rumours about Savox servos causing brownouts but they all seem to be very old posts..... Is that still an issue?
  3. I seem to be finding conflicting reports re the "kit" supplied servo arms.... Will they fit the Savox 1258?
Cheers.
