Good evening guys! I was out ripping around with the Tenacity. After a while I noticed the power was not transferring completely to the ground. I’ve attached a video of the aftermath below. I was told from a friend :

Your outdrive loosened off. The grub screw on the outdrive came loose and it backed off. Push the bearing back in, make sure the grub screw is lined up with the flat spot on the shaft, slide the outdrive snug against the bearing and tighten it up, use a dab of blue loctite on the grub screw

But then in another forum I was
Told that it was my input bearing by one person and another told me it was the rear pinion ! Can anyone confirm?

Also any upgraded parts for the drive train available ?

Welcome. I agree with above. It might be one part led to another to fail. I had a bad bearing do that.

I'm not familiar with that car so I can't say. I did check losi site and only found pinions under optional accessories. I also checked robinson racing with no luck.

Its showing as a pic for me also.

Ok and what am I checking for exactly ? Sorry noob here. Worn/loose gears and parts.

Hard to tell, but if thats a bearing popping through the plastic that holds it, Id say replace the plastic piece holding it. It wouldnt hurt to tear into it to check the rest of it.

Once again, I have no losi, so I am not familiar with it.

The video doesn't play, at least not for me. You need remove the dogbone and take the entire diff apart and repalce any damaged or worn parts like Chewy said. If you look at the exploded views in the manual then you can get a part number and search for replacements. This particular kit was never very popular so there arent much in the way of after market parts for it.

Thanks guys. So the diff housing where the pinion for the tranny was melted in the interior. Ordered an aluminum diff housing for the rear and will need a new pinion.

Better check the bearing. A lot of times when something like that happens its because theres excessive drag in the bearing and it causes it to get hot and melt the plastic around it.
