I really like this truck just unsure if it’s a money pit you know. I’ve been there and done that with a lot of stuff. It’s nice that it’s a very versatile vehicle and can maybe pull a back flip here and there. I don’t mind dealing with the cage but stock I just want a driveline that I don’t have to worry about. I have 3s LiPos so I’m looking to run 3s only. I have Aluminium servo horns already and a hv servo. But I heard a lot of issues with the Baja Rey when trying to find info on this truck. Kind of makes me top toe on buying it. I look at the brcc and everything’s great but I may get bored but at least it’s durable out of the box. And plastic still scares me at a 319 price tag, I know it’s durable maybe even strong then the Rock Rey but just the thought of plastic seems cheap to me. I keep going round in circles. Did you ever try urs stock before the upgrades?

I did. I ran it stock and jumped it until I landed nose first and broke the front bumper and a C-hub. The BRCC might not have broken on the same hit, I bought the kit and had everything I needed to complete it except the receiver. Kit was $250 so I figured I had some money to play with. I am running a Castle 1512-2650 motor on 3S. I'm pretty pretty tough on my trucks and I didn't blow up my diffs. Both trucks are great but the BRCC will be cheaper.

Well my CF body panels came in, but not my beadlocks. So bummed, but they will be here tomorrow. Here it is with the body panels. I zip tied one of the stock tires to the back of the cage. I think it looks cool and it will add weight to the rear so it jumps more neutral. I plan on adding some decals at some point.

The only mandatory mods are the third member and the front bulkhead and servo horn correct?

Honestly? I'd say servo horn is a must. Everything else is like it would be for an Arrma. I don't think you have to do anything until/if it breaks. I didn't have any diff problems prior to my upgrades and I was pounding on it. That said, the 3rd member is really nice and not that expensive.

I got all the wheels mounted but now I need to address the shocks. I was hoping to avoid the cost but with the addition of all the aluminum the truck is just too heavy for the stock springs. As far as everything else, I love the way it came out.
