So, I recently got a micro b, and that lead to 3 more being in my possession, which in total is 4, and one of them is now a parts car. In my previous post talking about how I got a micro b, I mentioned having scx24 wheels on it, and it does pretty good. Then I got to thinking, and now I’ve decided to build a 1/24 pre runner/trophy truck! I am going to use an scx24 transmission, rear axle, links, and driveshaft, and a couple 3d printed parts to help attach it to the micro b chassis. I’m going to be using the front suspension, shocks, chassis (I think I’ll cut it in half with as perfect of measurements that calipers can give me), servo mount and servo, steering, and esc and receiver. I’m going to use scx24 wheels, and try and keep the wheelbase the same as either the micro b stock, or scx24. I’m still in the thinking process, but as soon as I get home I’m getting started on the designing and printing! I think I’ll use a stock micro b motor, as the scx24 transmission is geared way lower for torque compared to the Losi micro b transmission, unless I can figure out a way to get the micro b transmission to work. I could use the micro b transmission with a diff locker and attach the scx24 driveshaft to that, which would allow it to go faster, but it would have less torque. If you all have any ideas, share them and I’m sure they will help! I’m hoping that this will make it easier for people to turn scx24s into pre runners or customize them to however you want and configuration, and it will open up a whole new world! Who knows, I could sell kits on Etsy for it when I figure it out! These are just ideas so far, so let me know what you think! Thanks!

I'm trying something new, which is the use of AI! I chatted with chatgpt, and it is currently designing a link mount and such, so we will see how it goes! If it doesn't work, I'll design it myself.

You kids today with your AI... 🙄
I remember when there were no personal computers. And there were no battery packs. We had to run REALLY FAST with our Tonka trucks and jump off the ramps WITH the 'RC Tonka's' when we bashed at the gravel pit as kids. (No skate parks all over yet either) 🙄
And it was blistering hot in the 8' snowdrifts! We had to run, uphill both ways because the plow trucks used to aim for little kids back then!
You had to be quick! 😲

You kids don't know! 🤣

Good luck with that contraption! 👍

AI I mean. 😉🤣

Aright, took a different approach! I took some scx24 deadbolt chassis rails, transmission, skid plate, and links and axle, and screwed it to a micro b chassis that I cut in half! Mind you, this is just a concept, and when I decide if I want to continue the project, I’m gonna 3d print a chassis that holds everything without the need for cutting anything! I’ll post some photos in a sec!
