Losi 22s no prep car bat help

I am a drag racer who is getting back into rc especially into the no prep stuff. I purchased a Camaro bodied losi 22s no prep car. The battery I purchased is going to be several weeks till I get it. My question is can I use my Tamiya plug end to my ESC that has a IC5 plug with a adapter? I wanted to just get use to the car before all the upgrades go on it. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

I would not ,what's the amperage of a tami plug? like 15? id go with a xt 120

I would also vote no. Youll likely melt that Tamiya plug.

Tamiya plugs were notorious for melting even on mild motor/esc setups. Get rid of it.
