Hey guys right now i have an rc10gt and i am looking to buy something cheep to play around with while i fix the gt. I'm looking for a nitro car and have $100 to spend, any tips on what might be the cheapest

Throw the $100 towards upgrades on the RC10, I don't see you being able to get a decent running rig for that much. With a hundred bucks your looking at a well used and probably abused rig, a lot of times Traxxas Nitro Sports and Rustlers can go for that cheap but will be older models and need work to get up and running. I don't know anything about your RC10 but you could get some different tires or some better servos, throw a rx pack and charger in if you're using AAs, and if you're still using a 27mhz radio you could jump up to a 2.4ghz setup.

Your not gonna get anything for 100 bucks and if you did I would be scared to see what it was. +1 on using that 100 bucks to buy upgrades for your rc10

ok one more question dose anybody know of a cheepish but reliable non pullstart engine and carb.

You can pick up a stock XXL engine off of ebay for about 110ish if your patient. I've read people saying its a rebadged LRP .28 Spec 3. Judging by the way it runs in my XXL Id say they probably arent wrong. The combo roto/pull starter is another 15 bucks or so though.

.28 on an rc10?:) look at a .19 dynamite. You'll need a rotary carb engine. Not sure if they offer it in that configuration tho.

Any quality .15-.19 will rip an rc10.

+1 Matt, A small block on the RC10 is the way to go since they are a stadium truck and is really light.

I would spend the money on this and you will have a good truck.
I would would get it running first and some good tires and you should be fine.
upgrading the servo and arms can be done down the road

have you taken the engine apart yet and looked at its condition
maybe you can rebuild it cheap

I have 6 rc10gt's and 2 rc10gt2's
I got a engine i got from a guy when i bought one of these from him that had been sitting for years and i soaked it in fuel for a day then took it apart and cleaned it up and resealed it and it still going after a year of running byrons 20% race blend fuel thru it

LoL, my bad I forgot we were talking about upgrades for an RC10...for some reason I jumped straight to big blocks I guess cuz thats what I have the most of :)

Ha ha. Got my attention! I love my rc10. Even with a pro.15 it's fun. I run 2.2 mashers on it so it goes through grass better. Didn't even gear it down. Even with a turd of an engine, it's so light, it goes like hell.

just ordered a Nitro TEAM ASSOCIATED AE .15 Engine and Peak Racing Diablo .15 - New- Non Pull Start - Hpi Traxxas Mugen Team Associated $120 total. god i love ebay
