Okay, i've got my Corally SP12M (loaded minus Rx) up on craigslist.org and i've got a guy that is wanting to trade me for a CEN matrix that needs a RX and a Steering & throttle servo....has a Axial .28 stock engine.... and a LOSI pipe.

can anyone give some feedback, that actually owned/owns the buggy....

I've heard nothing but bad things about Cen's diffs and trannys. You definitely don't see or hear about too many around the boards. Axial engines are about the bottom of the barrel as well.

The only reason i'm asking is i know the CEN Matrix are about 250 dollars new... and my Corally is about 7 yrs old and the kid wants to trade out right.

I know you get what you pay for, but i'm not going to be racing the car. I'm just going to beat up on it @ BMX tracks, and Baseball diamonds.

And the axial engine's i'm aware of.... not a huge deal as i'm not going to be racing it... i just don't drive the SP12M and i want something i can drive....

hum.... i guess if this thing is not in pristine shape i might bypass on the trade.

The Matrix is a buggy, right? The smaller wheels and tires would be easier on the diffs. And if the Axial runs good, who cares about their reputation I suppose. Trading something that sees no use for it makes it sound like a better deal.

i guess when i get home i'll take a look into some websites and see if anyone makes parts that i can use to upgrade the transmission and diffs. and i can always swap out the engine if i don't like it.....

One of my former bashing buddies had a couple of them. They were pretty tough but parts were not so easy to find when he did need them. Never had any diff problems but he only had them for a year or so.

Thanks for the feed back. I was snooping around last night and found alot of mixed reviews.

+1 here. I've heard the same thing. Don't know if I agree with the Axial opinion, though.
