Hey Guys,

First of all, sorry about being a stranger around here lately. I picked up where I left off last semester in my continuing quest to obtain my Bachelors degree at night. I work all day long and then go home to do homework. My time has really been limited. I have also had a contract put down on my house that I am selling so that has been taking up some time as well since I am trying to do this on my own. Supposed to go to close on Holloween.

Anywho... back to the real business... RC's! The last time I went racing, I broke the front shock tower on my XTerm Pro as well as the screw and "Spacer" ( I think that is what it is called?). Well finding the screw and shock tower was no problem, however the shock spacer that holds the top of the shock away from the shock tower is nowhere to be found. Does anyone at all know where I can find one of these, or preferably a whole bag of these things it would be greatly appreciate it. I can't install the shock until I can find these things, and if I can't install the shock I can't race. See my delema? :) Thanks again as always guys. Take care.

Tom

Yes... that is exactly it. It threads onto the screw that the shock attaches to and it kinda looks like a trumpet... if that makes any sense? The ones on the XTerm are smooth around at the ends too, some that I have seen have an octal type base. The spacer then mounts flush to the tower and the shock and gromet mount flush to the other side of the spacer.

Hey VB,

Thanks man. I have called and emailed XTM folks and have recieved nothing from them, but that they couldn't help me. I even went to my LHS and nothing! I have never heard of the hobby people folks.... Man it looks like they have just about everything I need to rebuild that buggy. Thanks man. I owe you one. It looks like Hobby People specialize in XTM stuff. Thanks again VB.

Tom

Does anyone know if the parts for the RTR and deluxe versions of the XTerm will work on the Pro version? Thanks

Tom

No problem, hobbypeople.net and globalhobbies.com have just about all things needed for xtm.

Thanks again man, I think I will stock up on some of those hard to find parts that seem to end your day quick. like a set screw or lock nut. Those 2 cent parts that you just can't seem to find when you need them. I love that Xterm, great buggy, I just got a little throttle happy off of one of the jumps and landed nose first right into a 4 inch PVC pipe. Point of impact was right at the top of the front shock tower.
