LOL...I might be too honest as a salesman huh???
good choices.....I'm not impressed w/ the 777 series for the cash they want.....

I've never seen an xray in person, but I did help build a prospec and if the xray is anywhere near or better then the xray you won't be disapointed by either. The Parts fitment is amazing, and it is just soo smooth. Good luck with it.

I'm not saying I'm not considerin ur buggy i just want all the facts b4 i make a move in either direction!?!

I wasn' meaning for that to sound bad.....I'd rather see a newbie get something they want (AND will be a good RC) than buy something that's crap....either way you go, I'd still offer help when ya need it.....no worries here.....

How about the X1? I read in a shoot out, that it placed very high, right behind the Kyosho and just in front of the Mugen. Not bad for a $550 kit.

While I do agree that the Jammin is probably one of the best RTRs out, keep in mind, you can't compare the shootout Jammin X1-CR to the Jammin X1-RTR. They have a different chassis, shock towers, radio plate, chassis braces, chassis stiffeners, knuckles, drive axles, and motor mounts. I am not a very good driver, but I would think that all of those items must account for some difference in handling and durability.

Plus, if people compare shootout results to RTR counterparts, someone may end up buying the Kyosho RTR, since the Kyosho MP777 SP1 won the shootout. That car had every single part downgraded except the transmission cases, suspension arms, body, wing and wing mount. I have heard many horror stories about that car (it doesn't even have modern diffs or clutch setups). Its amazing how the company that produces the best kit, can turn around and make the worst RTR.

So, yeah take emu's advice about the X1, but don't go by the shootout results alone, unless you are buying the exact kits they compared.

If money is no issue, definetely get a kit. My vote would be for the Xray XB8. I got mine for $580 shipped. Like said you'll need to pick out a full radio system, engine, pipe, tires and running equipment.

Either the Kyosho/Mugen/Xray/Jammin will be a great racer. I have driven the MP777 SP1 and it handles great, but I have not had the chance to get the Xray goin yet, but any of the top of the line buggies will be great for you. If you have a LHS see what they stock parts for.

they have the biggest stock for jammin and koyosho!!

but the MP777 is like 650!!! what thats crazy!!!!

I'm gonna go with the X1-CR
