Hey man,
Don't know a thing about either car. But from the sound of it, can't go wrong whatever ya choose.
I think it's cool as hell someone elses wife is in the hobby!!!! Mine got me started in it. Couldn't get her to fly planes, but the first time somebody brought a car to the field she had to have one. :)

I would have said the revo, but he said he didn't want it to be a MT style kit. Although its called the MT2, its really just a ST with 4wd.

I started my son out with a Tmaxx and would cosign a revo as well . The
simple reason is the EZ-Start system . My reasoning is that trying to get two trucks started and running take all of the fun out of the hobby . Secondly my daughters drive as well but this hobby really shows the difference in men and women . My girls can take or leave the hobby . They only do it when the feel like it . There are women that really enjoy this hobby but I think they are the
exception not the norm . The Jato is just to fast .
I know you said you didnt want a MT but if you both want to enjoy doing it together get something that is relatively easy for her to use . Roto start if used improrperly burns out to many one way bearings . Pull starts blister . Ez start is a home run . That way my vote is for the Revo or a Traxxas ez start product . I am not being Traxxas Loyal , I have 2 savages and a MGt, when I am out with my 6 year old son he can do everything on his on .
