picking up the engine tom will post pics of before and after... and ill do a video of it running

lol i just put some on the other thred i have also..... the engine is strong still breaking it in.. had it at the local hobby shop today to do a good tune on it.. runs nice... had a few issues keeping it running and found out that it needs alot of fuel..so changed out lines with bigger ones.... i would reconmend using a pullstart with this engine cause the carb hits the easy start motor.....other than that it is a direct fit...will try n get a video of it runing

GET it
i put one in my revo and it RIPS
and its uber bashable
one thing, you need to record the tuning when you get it for future reference,
it it very helpful
i guaarentee you will not be dissapointed by it

Yo parevo, if you wanna start something say the word. I don't like this site because all the participants are....well....too assumption life styled, any posts are now going to be from anyone I give it too at my local hobby shop. This website is definitely NOT going on the magazine for sure.

Sorry for just throwing up a video, when I'm in the shop I only have a mouse and no keyboard... The engine may be fine for a monster truck, but high revving it was done after 10 tanks including the 5 break-in tanks. The metal ball retainer let go and went through the engine, most have a plastic retainer for this reason. I would seriously consider replacing the main bearing fairly soon with a higher grade and quality piece. I have also heard of others having the same issue, but after a bit more fuel has been run through lol.

I like the Dyn Mach 2

I'm looking at buying that to replace my bad 3.3 and 2.5. i was able to find one cheap.... what do you guys think.....

I have the Mach 2 and after I got it sealed it has been as good running, reliable engine as any I have (3.3, Sirio.27, 2.5). The only thing I would say is that if you are use to big block power it may dissapoint. I have it in my Jato and it has plenty of power there for sure, but I like the torque of the S27 for my tmaxx and Revo.

Really though, if you expect a $100 engine to do long WOT pulls over and over, then you probably expect too much. From how it sounded and the speed it was putting out, still sounds like it would be worth the $ if you dropped in a new rear crank bearing upon purchase.

Dynamite engines tune really well and last a pretty long time. I've seen/had quite a few over the years and never had one grenade a bearing like that.

However, I've had a few OS 21 RG's have catastrophic failures, one of which busted a bearing and it wasn't that old either. It did have the plastic retainer.

The other snapped a crankshaft at the intake journal and I witnessed two others blow con-rods in under a gallon. Those were OS's! Didn't stop me from buying OS though.

yeah these engines are none to last long. thats y i went with it. it havent fully brokein in the motor yet to see what it really is like. so i will keep my fingers crossed and pluse if i want a speed truck i would of keep my jato

I fully agree that I was pushing it a little bit, but less then 750cc and the bearing lets go, I was hoping for at least a liter :hehe: I do fully agree that a new bearing should be swapped in new or just after break-in before you really make it start working. I would look for a good steel bearing with a plastic retainer, at least you have a chance if the bearing starts to let go. This one went fast, it went from a solid 54mph to 52mph in one run, the camera was filming for every pass I only did maybe 6-7. Like I said in my reply, in a monster truck where rpm is limited in comparison to the jato, it should be ok. The engine is totally stock with just a good pipe on it, anyone thinking of putting it in such a vehicle will likely suffer the same outcome, because what else can you do with a jato except for going really fast, in a straight line lol.
