my neighbor has just (in the last month) picked up a different model the only thing differnet is that it only has 2 car memory

but yes its a good raido i would say get it but depending on how many cars u got u might not need the 4 model memory but thats up to u

but personally I've never bought a raido I've always used the ones that come with the car or truck cuz I've either bought used or bought an rtr

The Futaba 3PM is a 10 model FM and you can get it with or without a heavy duty steering servo. Get it here fro $150 http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXGAG3**&P=ML

ok everbody has been help full and i have 1 question that noboy has answer yet. i metion 3 radios in the theard and i want 2 kno if they all run on digatal servos ??? as it stand right kno I'm goin 2 get the Futaba 3pm or the JR XR3i....

the XR3i doesn't come stock with digital servoes. Now can it run the digital counterparts. I will try and do some research...

ight but if the XR3i dont come w/ digatial sevos and the futaba comes w/ digatal servose and its cheaper and has a better reputation. I'm goin' 2/ the 3PM.that 1 comes w/ how many 4 digatal sevoes ???

Digital servos can cost over $100 each. The hi-torque one that comes with that 3PM is more than enough to give me quick steering response on my Savage and the radio itself has more than enough adjustments to fine tune how the servos react, even ABS for the throttle/brake servo.

so high-torque servos arnt digatal ??? how much do the hi-torque ones cost ???

Ok, since this is your first FM...did you get the same impression I first got that a FM radio with a digital screen was a digital radio that only used digital servos? Fully digital, the radio is around $300 or more and the servos are about $75-$125 each. Get that 3PM with the hi torque servo, you will be happy. It's a standar servo with a lot of power.

*edit* And that Servo is $38 by itself.

Ight that is a good price range for me (38$$ for hi-torque) how many model can the 3pm handle 4 right ??? and it comes w/ 4 hi-torque servoes ???

No, that link I gave you is the radio that comes with one S3305 hi-torque servo. You can also get the radio without it. If you are running a notro truck or car the most servos your going to run is 3 but more likely only 2 per truck/car. Now, you will also need a receiver for each car/truck you run with this (up to 10 with this radio) and you already get one with the radio.

Also, just because it says it's a 10 model radio does not mean you can not control more than 10 cars/trucks with it. Those "models" it refers to is fine tuning settings you want for each of your cars. The stock settings will work fine when you get it started but, for example, I decided to turn on the ABS for my savage or else it would flip over when I hit the brakes, which is still funny as long as it lands on all fours. :hammer:

what do u mean 10-model doesn't mean u can control 10 r/c cars ??? and what is ypur ABS ???

You can control more than just 10 cars is what I meant. The "10 models" is just 10 different settings for 10 different cars that you program into it. ABS is anti lock brakes. Even though your pushing all the way out on the brakes, the radio tells the servo to make go on/off on the brakes giving you a smoother stop and less wear on your brake pads.

i knew what ABS stood for but i thought it was somethin' differnt on RC's cause i never heard of these things having them , that tight'.

I was a little surprised myself. I first thought it was something else and didn't bother with it until someone showed me what it is for. Anyways, it's a great radio at a great price, you won't be disapointed.

ight I'm goin 2 look into it.......hopefully buy it....
