I took it out for a little ride after dinner yesterday, and met up with the local dealer who was trying a customer's machine. The customer was complaining about a lack of top end, I think it went plenty fast! He came out of a corner and was going WAY to fast! When he saw me he locked up the brakes and skidded for about 50 feet, I wasn't going very fast but still couldn't get stopped in time. His rear wheel hit my front wheel, I basically just stopped, but he ended up on his back in the woods. Nobody got hurt, but I wish I could say the same for my atv. Here are some pics.

The list of busted parts...that I know of. Front faring, a-arm, strut, footwell, possible a cv shaft, and some misc parts.

Dang ... That sucks man. Did you get an estimate?

Damn dude that sucks. I was riding mine the other day and almost clipped a tree with my front wheel. Is the other guy accepting responsibility for the accident as well as the damages? Glad you are alright though... that is the important part.

Tom

He claimed responsibility and is going to repair it. Just so happens that he is the ploairs dealer in town. He estimates that it will be right around $700 in damages, unless the frame is bent then they will have to replace that too.

oh that bast@rd , i would be so pissed off...I'm glad he's going to pay for it get something in writing... he might try to weasle out of it so you wanna get something in writing to protect yourself for court if need be....sorry for your loss...

That sux bro! Glad everyone is alright, how about the other bike, any damage?

The other bike was fine, just chipped the rack. I'd be willing to bet $1,000 that the owner of the bike won't even notice.

HB I already got it in writing. OH yeah they gave me a loaner bike to help me through the down time.

Thats cool. At least you have something to ride while yours is being worked on. Accidents happen and it is good that no one was hurt. It could have been alot worse. Good thing you got things in writing too. Though with him being the local dealer in town, I am sure he does not want the bad press if he didn't pay up.

Tom

As much as you guys hate my windshield, I love it! The loaner they gave me doesn't have a windsheild and I ate about 50 flies in the 20 minutes I was on it yesterday.
