Watching this right now...damn I was pretty close to the track at noon today. Had I known there was racing I would have stopped by.

Good luck FE and robmob.

I wish there was more than the static cam but either way thanks for the link! On my stream the audio is pretty muffled and low but hey, it's free race watching!

There's something to be said for those 1/5 scales. Not ONE stalled engine during the entire race. Now I'll check out the Formula race.

Those things are soo cool. You really have to wheel those things for sure. Every one of them looks like they handle like hell.

It was another great day of Autocross racing with Baja's.

Ed wasn't there, but I was.

My Baja is has a purple/chrome body and is the only one running the chrome side dominator pipe that looks like a bazooka.

In my first heat, I flipped on to my lid about half way through the race. After doing so, it ran like crap and I could not go full throttle. I still managed to hold win the heat, but come to find out, I had broken my spark plug. It was barely holding on and was giving me intermittent spark. I can't believe it kept running.

In the main I qualified 6th out of 8 figs. One did not make the call so there were only 7 to start. It was a long 20 minute race and I managed to finish 3rd despite some really poor turn marshaling by one of the sedan guys. No bad for a motor that was not broken in and a setup that I had not tested.

Not sure if I was in any of the vids, but I should have been while turn marshaling. I was set up next to a light pole inside the track and was very busy at times running around turn marshaling.

Was that the time when someone was yelling "behind you!" to the marshal?

There is nothing I can't stand more than marshals with the attention span of a rock. When I marshal I treat it as my job. I think drivers appreciate my sense of urgency, I know I would.

No. That was somebody else's rig that went into bushes. That turn marshal was by far the worst though. Pretty sure he sleeps standing up.

Special thanks to John (Badger of RCCrawler) for broadcasting the coverage for us from his badass Unimog and to Ed for streaming it on BajaPlanet.
