Absolutely, you're very considered, and I think that is why people would value your point of view and it's always nice to meet fellow rc enthusiasts and get to know tips and tricks from other guys.
Well thank you! Don’t wanna come off like some bloody bogan lol! I agree, and I’m the same way man-I love seeing other ways to do something, or something being done that’s useful, and I haven’t been doing it.. I really enjoy “race bashing” in a chill atmosphere, and it’s sometimes hard to “fit in” as a lot of racers get pretty serious, and a lot of bashers feel like the race kit guy must be uppity lol.. I like big air (but not 30-50ft 😅), going fast, and in a relaxed setting. Backyard track with like minded friends is where it’s at for me personally. When it stops being fun, I’m not interested anymore! 🍻🤙
I just thought you were getting paid by the word. 🤣

🤣🤣🤣 Psh! Nah-no charge y’all! I’d be a gazillionaire, lol

So-this particular body clearly isn’t for either of these trugg’s, and is for my Associated RC8B3.2 nitro buggy. They’re next up, but I HAD to share.. I grabbed up a couple new knives as I have (4) bodies on deck, and two more otw..

I will NEVER use another standard X-ACTO, and #11 blade for RC lexan bodies of ANY scale, or shape after giving this particular pair about a 1.5hr test drive..

In the past, I’ve always used an X-ACTO “Gripster” w/#11 blade, and a loose #11 between my fingers for tight work (windows, corners, weirdo curves, etc.. After I was trimming this exact body to fit the buggy prior to laying down the scheme with an ultra-fine Sharpie, and slipped (about 1.5” up, and across half of the damned front windshield 🤬🙄) across my brand new JConcepts S15, I said, “NO MORE…”.. I immediately grabbed up this knife w/blades from Stefani Rabitti of Bitty Designs, and a couple spare packs of his custom blades. I then copped a bare bones X-ACTO, and this custom shorty aluminum handle from MLP Racing.. MAN… These are a freakin’ GAME CHANGER IMO.. I don’t know how I ever managed to cut a straight line to save my damned life, OR make a tight radius after giving these two a whirl..

The Bitty designs collet does a great job of holding the blade, and even though the handle itself is plastic, and nothing fancy-the ergonomics of it seriously make it feel more versatile, and allow for more control when laying it down close to your work, or manipulating my giant lunch box hands within the sides of the lid.. The shorty is PRIMO. TONS more control, and roomy as a Cadillac when in use..

TREMENDOUS.

Maybe an hour and a half left.. F-it, I’m goin’ for it.. 🤷🏻‍♂️🤙 The NT2.0 is after this, then the ET2.0, then Mrs. Littlemotor’s truck.. 🤩🍻

Pay no attention to the lines atm-they’re still drawn on the protective film that’s coming off after the last layer is done..

Not looking like total garbage at least lol..

Well it’s NOT either Tekno in this thread, but the RC8B3.2 was first in line, and the NT2.0 is next (after I take a damned break for a day or two lol)..

Been up right at 20hrs to knock this thing out, and jerk the film off so I could see how bad I messed it up..

I’m STOKED.

I’ll lay down my custom Littlemotor decals tomorrow (edit: errrrrrr-tonight, lol) evening some time FOR SURE..🤩

Now I’m going to bed. 🤣🍻🤙

Not today! 😅🤷🏻‍♂️

Thanks brothaman, and sorry the wait was so long, I just wasn’t happy with the graphics I put down on this one, and had to redo ‘em for the 87th time lol.. I’m good now.. 😅
Ya done good, just make sure you don't slack on cleaning the airbrush, and it will never let you down. :thumbs-up:
Oh yeah man-I’m not treating this Iwata like a dirty hooker lol.. She’s cleaned up, and ready for the next one! 🤙 And thanks for the kind words sir!! 🍻

Are you suggesting that's a mess? I hope not, cuz my work area has never looked that good!! EVER..😂

Man, you have a lot steadier hand than I do. Amazing work!
Thanks feller! Believe me-they’re not that steady, and more than a few mistakes were made lol.. I am no professional.. But I’m excited I didn’t ruin it. 😅

Everything is finally outta the way to get back on these Tekno’s, then onto Mrs. Littlemotor’s… Finally some light at the end of the tunnel. 😅

Took a much needed break for a couple days, but got the RC Dungeon cleaned up this evening, and sat down to knock out the decals.. Was almost a shame to cover up the paint…Almost, lol.. I can dig it.. Nitro Truggy is next up. 🤩🤙

i just scrolled through all of this and wow there was some extensive maintenance performed here, i just ordered the same nitro pro servo for my sct build so glad to some one else with them lol, and these bodies look so good after paint especially with the wing graphics

I'm might have to get the et as my next build once I'm ready for that

also noticed you eat a lot of ice cream🤣

Well thanks for checkin’ ‘em out fella! -and I appreciate the kind words! That servo is hard to beat in an eighth scale race whip for sure. I ran Hitec forEVERRRRR, and they were stellar (with the no questions asked/no receipt warranty to boot! 😳🤩), but there’s just flat out more suitable servos today for what I’m doing.. I run Tekin servos in my electrics, and NitroPro’s in well-my nitro’s lol.. I’ve put some serious effort into my bodies in the past, but this is my first time with an airbrush.. I’m pretty stoked with the results.. I did a LOT of lurking on the airbrush groups, watched a metric TON of YT videos from people I KNOW aren’t gonna steer me wrong, and just got after it.. I do industrial maintenance for a living, and have always been super mechanically inclined, so I was fortunate enough to pick it up fairly quickly. Like anything else though; practice and experience get the job done right, and consistently. I’m gonna be a paintin’ fool for the foreseeable future. It’s something I wanted to do for a long time, but just never did.. I only run 1/8 bugs, and truggs, but I do know that SCT is one of the best out there, no question.. You won’t be at all let down with the ET, it’s an ANIMAL.. They should be releasing the 2.1 version here in a couple months, and it’d be worth the wait.

Welp-it’s about time for some ice cream! 🤷🏻‍♂️🤣

Built a better ghetto-booth this time, and affixed a carb free ice cream box to the center, and a little curb at the front so I could be more consistent. Last time was a constant fight leaning it against my Milwaukee flashlight in a shirt gift box lol.. Didn’t get as far as I’d hoped, and was still up when the sun came up… I know better than to rush paint.. 😅🤷🏻‍♂️

I’ll pick it back up this evening.. 🤙
