My 3s lipo just got charged to 12.65 volts, should I be worried?

Idk but I just checked with a multimeter, 12.6 volts, I think the charger was overstating the voltage, safer than under.

Htrc C240 Duo, I got it yesterday. Also, the battery I charged isn’t the best since the resistance is in the 10 - 15 range.

3s LiPo Balance charge. I may need to calibrate it.
Could it also be the balance board causing that?

many chargers are off in there voltages displayed. I have a few that are a few thousandths off . I always check and add a piece of tape I can write on at top of my chargers . my Fluke meter is never off...and a little higher resistance of a battery should not give higher voltage

So is the charger safe to use as long as it isn’t over charging?

It's not crazy off, but I would try to get it charging closer to 4.2v/cell.

12.65 on the charger, 12.6 on the multimeter.

so there wf .now what's the solution. Are you going to have him open the case and adjust a pot or 3 ? maybe send it out to be set closer?it could be safe.. not going to give a yes or no .its all you decide...

You can adjust the TVC on that charger I believe. But if the multimeter is saying 12.6, no need to.

I wouldnt worry about it. 5/100ths of a volt isnt going to hurt anything one way or the other.

I lowered the TVC to 4.18v just to be safe.

If its not off according to your multimeter I wouldnt mess with it. Even if it really was .05V off it isnt enough to hurt anything.

It started to overcharge it, I changed the TVC to prevent that

Id return it and get a known good unit like a Hitec or a HOTA. Just my .02

I bought a warranty from eBay for $7 I will probably get the same one again just to see if mine was just one of the few faulty chargers.

Just looked, and there are vids of that charger having overcharge problems.
