I picked up a new 3.3 revo off craigslist for stupid cheap but just can't get into building another basher when I already have a very nice basher. I was looking at exploded views and it seems as thought I could simply buy and e-revo chassis and bolt my front and rear complete bulks to it, swap servos, trans, and add a motor and esc and have a erevo. Am I missing something or is it really that easy to swap to electric? I know there are kits to swap the revo but I would rather use the erevo chassis and build a true erevo and not a converted nitro.

I don't know the answer to your question but if you do this, save your engine so you can go back to nitro after you get bored that your truck no longer blows smoke an makes a bunch of noise.

I believe the transmissions are different for electrics. Other than that i think everything as far as bulks shocks and body mounts are interchangeable.

The electrics use a single speed transmission and don't use the brakes like a Revo 3.3.

Well I ordered the E-revo chassis off of ebay and plan on slowly converting this nitro rig to an erevo. I just dont have any desire to build this revo since I already have a nice revo and a nice savage XL. I have always wanted to get into electric and I figure this will be a way to do it with a slight cost savings. I know I wont actually save any money because I am going to use quite a few hop-up parts but it will be cheaper than buying an e-revo and then changing everything.
