Hi guys. So i am planning on starting a project in the near future. This will be a tracked based vehicle in the weight region of about 20-30kgs.

My question is.

1. Can i use 2 170kv (4000W) e-board motors for such a project or should i rather go for the normal brushless motors?
Reason I'm asking is that e-board motors are more readily available whereas a 700kv normal brushless motor has to be imported (extra costs).

Was thinking of using 2 e-board motors. 1 per track, link them up to a dual motor esc and using a normal tx-rx combo. As far as i know e-board motors do have reverse.

Please feel free to share your thoughts on this.

Kind regards.

you can use whatever as-long as you can find a esc that fits your motors needs.

Not sure what kind of voltage and gearing youd have to put on a 170kv motor to make it move at a decent speed but yeah, like TNT said, it could theoretically work.
