I just got a new laptop battery yesterday since I could only use it when it was plugged into the power supply.
When I installed it, my battery indicator light was green. I plugged it in to give it an overnight charge, and today it's reading 7%.
Anyone know what could be wrong?

is it a lipo? lol only thing i can think of is the power supply cord does what mine does. its gotten loose over the years and has to be in a certain position to actually charge or be connected.

I just set up a wireless router for it and that works fine. I haven't used this without the power cord before this.
Is there something I need to do to make it charge?

Yeah. Plug it in ;-) Maybe the charging circuit is bad on the motherboard....I've seen that in the past.

Figures. I bought this as a refurbished/used Dell on Ebay about 6 months ago and this is the first time I've really used it.
